SpaceX is counting down to two critical missions, including the first all-civilian spacewalk. This comes amidst NASA’s announcement to return stranded Boeing Starliner astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams to Earth on a SpaceX spacecraft. NBC News’ Marissa Parra reports.

I feel so bad for the 2 astronauts stuck in space 😔
Suni needs a perm so badly, maybe NASA can work with licensed cosmetologists to create the first perm in space.
Their haz pay will be epic.
Dont worry they are fine, they will head home in a spacex capsule
they’re ‘stuck’ in a fortress they’re chilling in the ISS bossman it’s alright
They’re fine, they’ve been doing experiments and keeping healthy and studying longer term space life
It must be so boring for the poor astronauts stuck in space like they probably have nothing to do with
Unfortunate as it is it gives a glimpse for a future astronauts the reality of space life
They can do the pleasure.
They are now part of crew-9 and will continue doing research on the ISS.
Meanwhile, at Boeing…..
The stock price gets closer and closer to a buy.

Exactly, nobody wants to just admit the truth… for politics, litigation for slandering..
NASA and Boeing.. have been and will continue to be eclipsed by SPACEX.
whats the point in this all that work and money and risk just to go outside space for 15mins lol
That’s kind of like saying – why train your whole life to be an Olympian and do the 100 m dash once . A race that is less than 10 seconds . People have dreams. They wish to achieve them .
I’m sorry, 15 minutes? Last time i checked they will spend entire days up there conducting research, do your research bro, c’mon.
This is just 1 of 3 spacewalks that Isaacman will go on.
They will spent 5 days in space and they will do lots of science like testing the radiation in deeper space to improve the shielding of suits and the spacecraft the space walk is also to test the space suits but is just a small part and it will take a few hours
Elon Musk they greatest African American ever.
South African-American 🤣
Gross
@@rensinclair4218 Gross? You mean Obama’s deadbeat Kenyan father?
The audacity to hate Elon Musk but in the end they need his help?
he’s only a programmer nothing more
You can completely hate him, but still celebrate his companies successes. The 2 have nothing to do with each other. It’s the engineers that are making this all happen, not Elon. He doesn’t even understand 90% of this stuff, he just understands a very simplified version to the math and science.
No.
People absorbed into multiple cults of personality need help more than NASA does.

Will Biden and Harris snub this mission like they snubbed the first all-civilian crewed spaceflight by SpaceX?
Oh shut up
Goodness I hope they come back safely
They’re better off up there. Earth is a hot mess 😮
🫵🏽🤡
Didn’t one of their ships explode? I wouldn’t get on one of those.
on a test stand, long time ego
SpaceX blows up rockets all the time. They’re prototypes and that’s assumed to happen during the mission but they collect valuable data. They’ve only had one incident many years ago with a payload and never an issue on a crewed flight.
No, Crew Dragon has a perfect record.
When the NASA commercial crew program was in its early days, congress really only wanted one provider: Boeing. Thankfully things turned out different and NASA got Boeing AND SpaceX.
the contrast between the two company’s crew programs is staggering today. SpaceX has gone beyond just flying NASA astronauts and are doing innovative missions like Polaris Dawn.
Thank god for Elon Musk!!
1:18 you inspire nothing… you’re part of the breakaway civilization and the rest of the people are living god forsaken lives. YJF
Mark my words: THE BOEING SPACECRAFT WILL NOT SURVIVE ITS RETURN TO EARTH. Wise move ditching the Boeing bomb
Take that Elon Musk h8ers
I’d be excited of Musk was doing the walk himself. He could stay out there as long as he wanted.
I so pale
If we have been in contact with aliens for decades why not just tell them to bring them back to earth
Because we haven’t been in contract with aliens fot any amount of time.
Space Walks since 1965, Leonov and White.
This is the furthest spacewalk away from earth and it’s not done by nasa
Its the farthest a human has been simce the apollo missions well also furthest space walk ever if you dokt count the moon walk as s space walk cause its a “moon”walk get it?

Meanwhile, at Boeing…..wow how do you think ?
At some point SpaceX is bound to get people killed. It’s the nature of that field.
Says who?
DO NOT EVER PUT BOEING IN LINE WITH SPACEX…. those greedy MFs are not worth mentioning if you talk about spacex
Why do I fear this mission… It took NASA decades of failure to get it to the point where they failed a little bit.
I mean, if you want the specifics, they’ve got horsepower like Darcy Retzke from Smashing Pumpkins. It’s no news… Brother works in Minnesota… Alex Rodriguez, and the merging effort between baseball and music by Derek Jeter… Their buddy Larry, who was a Band-Aid definitely needed an ex strategy as well… Now is he related to freese or is he related to Taylor Swift? The starting point of their exit strategy was 11 years ago… When they needed to figure out some things, they already knew they could potentially be getting in serious trouble… McCormick had been working on part of the plan as well has a judge from a judge perspective, knowing as little information as he possibly needed… But he definitely knows what was going on…
MALINFO! This is not the full story. View the horrendous quotes Boeing has said about spaceX
It takes months to send spacecraft to moon to recover, how they send humans to mars 😮
What?
no
It only takes around 3 days to send people to the moon. It sometimes takes longer with probes because unlike people, they don’t starve.
Come on Jeff, you’re lagging behind
Jeff who?
New Glenn is launching in October, from there, things should heat up
Meanwhile, back on earth hiding in a warehouse……
I wonder if the stuck astronauts have a chance at a civil case against Boeing when they get back..

@@weekiely1233 we are a one planet species. There is no survival in deep space, only death and radiation dosages. Stay humble before God and fellow man.
RIP. I’ll say it early
Because elons space missions are a disaster. Money doesn’t make you a rocket scientist
@@bacon6118 a. Musk isn’t personally making these rockets but his knowledge is well documented by actual engineers who have worked with him. Check out Tom Mueller for example
B. SpaceX is the most successful launch provider on the planet and operates the most reliable rocket ever built (Falcon 9) which has a 99% reliablity rate with only 3 failures out of 367 missions and the highest success streak of any rocket at 325 (second highest is 112)
They have flown 13 crew missions before this one, 12 of which have returned safely with no issues and one ongoing at the international space station
C. I’m betting you don’t follow spaceflight or know all that much about SpaceX and are probably referring to starship. Starship is in iterative development
The whole point of its flights is to develop the vehicle. With this flight based approach explosions were always expected and they stated this numerous times beforehand
But they’ve grown a lot faster than expected and completed a full mission profile by just flight 4. This was the case with the landing tests which achieved a landing after just 5 flights instead of the planned 10 and led to many vehicles that were expected to be needed being recycled and scrapped
Because of the visible explosions many in the media and uniformed public see the flights as a failures or losses. Something that is bad or an actual setback
This is not the case. Every rocket will have these kinds of events just usually at a smaller and on ground scale. Saturn V had many explosive tests during it’s development
SpaceX has taken a different approach by doing the majority of their tests in a flight scenario which is more efficient, more realistic and more cost effective than years of small scale like with rockets such as SLS
this has allowed them to match the pace of development for Saturn V yet with 1/100th the funding and will allow them to rapidly develop the system to become operational which is not far away.
@@bacon6118All 15 previous of the crewed spacex missions have been a success with no hickups. The rocket it launches on, Falcon 9 has had over 300 successful launches. Regardless of your opinion of its founder, SpaceX’s Dragon is the safest spacecraft to be on.

so yall allowed to upload space x stuff after shaming the man
This is absurd, way to much risk.
Gemini did it quite a lot as well as Apollo 15-17 on the way back from the moon. The nose cone which hinges out to one side will protect from any potential space debris and they’ve trained for months.
