In the United States we complain and cry about the hurricanes we get, but a lot of that is our fault because corrupt county and state politicians allow developers to build houses and businesses in flood prone areas without elevating the land the houses and businesses are built on.
What Ukraine is going through isn’t their fault. Nobody, including myself, thought Putin would do something as crazy as attacking and invading Ukraine. But, it’s looking like Russias financial system and economy is about to collapse and signs of dissent are appearing within Russia. Putin can no longer hide the staggering casualties of Russian troops. If Ukraines allies keep sending military and economic aid to Ukraine then Putin will lose. It’s very possible that Putins regime will not make it through winter. His stupid war has caused neglect of Russias energy infrastructure that average Russians need to heat their homes. We saw signs of that last winter and this winter will be a lot worse for them. Ukrainians need to persevere a little longer and Ukraines allies need to as well and we can achieve victory.
