One killed and 24 injured in shooting attack in southern Israel bus station

At least one person has died and 24 others have been wounded in a suspected shooting and stabbing attack in southern Israel.
The assault took place near the central bus station in the city of Beersheba.
Emergency service provider Magen David Adom said in a statement that one person, a 25-year-old woman had been killed.
The alleged perpetrator, who carried out a stabbing attack, has been shot dead by Israeli forces.
Police said the incident was being treated as a “suspected terrorist attack”.
The attack comes as Israel is on high alert ahead of one year of Israel’s war on Gaza.

Al Jazeera’s Nour Odeh reports from Amman, Jordan. That’s because the Israeli government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting in the Occupied West Bank, and Israel.
