What gets me is i live in Louisiana but get messages to vote for candidates in GA, AZ, NM, Nevada. I can’t vote there because i don’t live there.
I have to leave my text messages on for work, (sometimes clients not yet in my contacts). Those elections messages start at 8am and go to late in the evening. I can’t wait until it’s over!!!
Unfortunately, the stop command only works for that specific number every time you get another text message they use a different number. So you could just be typing stop all day long, or you could do what I do which is I block each and every number just by tapping the corner and having it blocked. But that doesn’t make the messages stop
I cannot wait for that to stop. Even donating does nothing to slow it down.
It actually accelerates contact.
Yah, reply the word stop to opt out if it’s a valid text. But if it’s a scam, don’t reply because they’ll confirm your number, and you’ll get more scam texts. And how do you genuinely know what is a legitimate campaign text and what is a scammer?
Opting out can help conserve resources for undecideds, bless their hearts…
