I love the bidens and I love tradition but I feel like in light of the fact that the farm was essentially destroyed and the fact that some people won’t even be able to afford a tree this year, it’s me I’m some people, that maybe we need to forego the thousands of dollars that the government spends on holiday decorations. It’s just not a good look is all I’m saying.
Ngl it sounds like a bad gesture on paper but if the farm gifted them the tree so be it.
Despite war, catastrophes, illness and death the world continues on. It is a wonderful tradition that is enjoyed by thousands of people, the volunteers and the visitors. I’m struggling this year as well but I don’t begrudge anyone else able to celebrate in a fashion of their choice. Christmas is not about a tree. It’s a feeling of love and joy, happiness and hope. It’s a time for friends and family, gratitude and generosity. I sincerely hope you have a very merry Christmas and the New Year brings comfort and blessings to you and all of us struggling.
We can ALL celebrate with this tree vicariously. I have chosen to get a small native Douglas Fir from a nursery to have a tree on my porch, and it is already donated to my local park system. AND I am not even Christian. It truly IS a Yule Tree in the truest sense
