I hope they do retaliate. It’s not their fault that we couldn’t get our act together and come up with a border policy. All of our division and infighting got us here. What’s going on at the border is OUR FAULT not our neighbors. DT is a divider. He wouldn’t let us work out a border policy. He wanted us to fail on the border issue. In the next 4 years things will get worse.

Are there not legally binding existing Free Trade agreements between the USA, Canada and Mexico which prevent the imposition of Tariffs? Why is nobody talking about these.?
The laws can be repealed and the US as an independent state can change the laws and remove themselves from any agreements. The other thing is that because these are American contracts the only courts you can go to are American courts and so suing them would be moot as they will not rule against themselves. What the rest of the world should do is use this as a learning curve to actually stop being dependent on American markets. Its time to take the Americans on their bluff and work with each other outside the US and we will see who the loser will be.
@@pamelajudithrwanyarare8429there is also a vienna convention on treaties whose article 56 If I remember correctly allows treaties to be rescinded if any 9f the parties are in breach. It’s not hard for American lawyers to prove so e infraction or other.

Except the President of Mexico is already shutting down the border to avoid the tariffs and Trudeau has called Trump to plead his case. Give it a week. And China already tariffs all US products 13-15%. This will have ZERO effect on anyone but libtards who don’t have a clue what they are spewing.
