Colombian President Gustavo Petro has hosted world leaders in Bogota for a one-day conference to discuss the political situation in Venezuela, where critics accuse the administration of Nicolás Maduro of stifling opposition.
Representatives from 19 countries and the European Union met in the San Carlos Palace on Tuesday, where Petro opened the meeting with a speech.
Al Jazeera’s Alessandro Rampietti reports from Bogota, Colombia.

And Pakistan will help Venezuela for sure🤗
No country other than its own people can decide its fate. Let alone Columbia or EU.
Oh come on. Just join BRICS. The US is collapsing as is the petrodolla. Bunch of morons.
I see…..
That’s exactly where we are going to blame to Germany and make it about how Venezuela violated my trust, by giving my dad the cocaine to smoke right before the fraud dinner
Gustavo Petro 🇨🇴 and Nicolas Maduro 🇻🇪 uniting in peace 🕊️ for economic prosperity 👍💕
Hey you know, Petro may want to get in on the action too, after all what’s really wrong with profiting a bit by supporting a Regime you are naturally incline to support anyway. He seems to feel fair elections and following the will of the people are overrated concepts when it come to his preferred Regime squirreling away a little more cash into their offshore bank accounts, especially if they’re willing to slide a little his way. If I lived in Colombia I’d be getting very nervous about this guy. Easy to vote ’em in, near impossible to get ’em out. Ask pretty much any Venezuelan about how all this has worked out for them.
@@concerningvenezuela You know next to nothing about these two Gentlemen. Educate yourself first – then you can fully form a cogent opinion about something 🤔
@@Shining237 Oh, I know plenty about Maduro. More than I wish I did as a matter of fact. That you mention prosperity for anyone other than the Regime in the same sentence as Maduro shows just how little you know about that particular despot. In fact, you only need to consider that in excess of 7 million have already indicated with their feet when their votes were suppressed their opinion of those kleptocrats. That should be your first clue. As for Petro, right next to nothing… it ain’t looking good though. I’ve seen this movie before and know how it ends. If you happen to find yourself in Colombia, buckle up, you’re in for a bumpy ride… and I’ll bet dollars to doughnut you ain’t ever set foot in Venezuela yet somehow consider yourself an expert over someone that’s spent the better part of the past couple decades there.
Duaido is a tief an run to usa to scape from jail
