some context. china has a standard range model y with lfp battery not available in us.
The Singapore pricing is inaccurate as there is an ADDITIONAL cost of US$80,000 (at the point of posting this) for the right to use the Tesla for 10 years!
So for Model Y RWD, it’s US$106,000 + 80,000!
@@rsbros2136 As the country is small & densely populated, the OFFICIAL reason is for car ownership control in order to maintain traffic flow.
However, what many locals are saying is for revenue generation. Imagine, after 10 years, owners have to ‘purchase’ another right to use for another 10 years!

Well.. right across a land bridge next door in Malaysia , it’s costs $42827. Cheap by global standards, but still expensive for the locals…
They are going to have to cut prices. Demand is already too low.
