Hi everyone. I want to remind you that there is a difference between being frugal and being cheap. It is okay to be cheap towards yourself but rarely is it ever okay to be cheap towards others. Thanks for supporting the channel!
MegaMiir 😂😂😂 I like Dave, but he can be an ass! 😂

WOW, I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought of Dave Ramsey as a sarcastic jerk.
@Trinder3467 um he’s more relatable + insightful + and hot lol Theres plenty more attributes babe!
@Eeco Heart Glow sure, babe.
New in your channel. Good videos. I appteciated it. Great effort you put on your videos
So boring
Dear Nate,
I love your videos. Some of the content is not applicable to me, but I still learn something. I would like to request that you lay off the anti- book purchase thing. Multiple people advising frugal living have brought up books. As someone that is conceivably old enough to be your grandma and as a used book store owner, please stop. Used books are a frugal medium to gain knowledge and entertainment. You could say I have been recycling on an industrial level for years.
There is the matter of comfort and esthetics. Your apartment is nice, uncluttered and clean. This is good, but it is bereft of coziness. A few books would help. It is good that you enjoy reading. Also, unless you have an alergy, there should be a cat. 😊 Thanks
Saving for me isnt the problem. It’s making the money.
If you wore a leather jacket, you would look exactly like claude from GTA 3
Retiring at 30s/40s?? What do you do your next 40-50 years left? You end up all bored
Find these tips really useful. Its funny how youtubers are telling “magical” saving money hacks that mothers have been using for decades to save up money on the family daily life.
We are 💞
The issue with bike, especially electric bike, is where to put them when you arrive at work. there’s usually no enclosed safe areas to chain up the bike.

Good job Mom!
The library! Yes! So many free services that help you get ahead! At my local library you can even borrow books from home for free. Doesn’t hurt to go visit!

5. Use Craigslist
4. Unsubscribe from emails
3. Crock pot (he didn’t say this but I’ll add: check out “once a month meals”)

Nobody is retiring in their 30s. There’s truly no chance of that happening. It’s better to be realistic.
Gym fees – I saved a lot of money by exercising at home. I subscribe to and follow a lot of these fitness channels. There are thousands of follow along videos on youtube that you can use. And the best thing is you can do it in private, in your own home😄
“Rent laptops for free” – borrowing.
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
You can also save the $20 from not buying an OBD reader. You can take it to almost any auto parts store and they will read the codes for free. 🙂
Best frugal tip: don’t have kids
Yes! But they are worth the expense. ♥
@Solid State, not in this day and age.
Best frugal tip related to this: don’t engage in pointless romance.
For me they are worth the expense.
Learning to change the blinkers fluid has saved me bunch of money
I walk . No car and I am happy get s tax or s bus or train no insurance etvet .
I dont like coupons either 😁😊
“Normal forever.” You look great.
omg that sensor is $20??? mechanic always charging me $100 plus just to use that thing for a “code:”
Very good video Nate
this dude gets views because he’s a chad. Advice ain’t bad but if I were on camera saying it, no one would give a shit
Great to see you success! The channel is growing an awesome clip. Can you do a studio tour setup and gear review? Love to see what you use on set.
Regarding buying stuff just because it’s on sale or because you have a coupon: Clark Weber always says, “If you don’t need it, it’s not a deal.”
Don’t own a cell phone. 😁
Your clothes will also last longer when line-dried, if you hang outside in sun they smell wonderful. I have line-dried my laundry all my life, don’t even own a dryer!
Very good information…. I myself use the envelope method that works terrific. I label each envelope with things i want to save for outside my checking and savings account. For example i label one for emergency fund i add $20 each week the next envelope i label vacations $10 a week and so on by the end of the year it adds up and i always have funding for things that i want to do.
Hang your clothes on a line to dry outside – best way to save a fortune on your electricity bill. It may depend on the climate where you live, but for a couple of minutes effort, you save money, your clothes last longer and no amount of money can buy the scent sunshine leaves in your clothes and your bed linen. I live in a part of Australia where it very hot in summer and very wet and cold in winter. To help keep my clothes from fading due to sun exposure in the warmer months, have a line under a covered area, which also helps when the weather is wet. When it’s too cold and wet to dry outside, I place my clothes on clothes horses/drying racks and they dry within 24 hours with the heating on.
For the styling without getting poor part, I would recommend to build a UNIVERSAL wardrobe.
The idea is to stick to something classic that will never be outdated and by buying it in colors that matches with most of you clothes.
This implies buying a lot of “neutral” color clothes.
Navy blue, black, gray, white, light brown
Eg:
Gray, white, blue,black, red Tshirt.
Dark blue denim jacket, red, black hoodies, dark blue bomber jacket.
You get the idea, nothing clashes with anything really and so all your clothes are useful and will match with the rest.
Just buy “FEW” clothes that have colors that pop like red, green, yellow so that you don’t only have boring colors.(T shirts are great for that as they are cheap)
Surprisingly you want at least two or three pairs of shoes as they need to dry after use because your sweat actually make them damp.Don’t use that as an excuse to overspend.
Voila! You will have a timeless classy wardobe that doesn’t compel you to buy stuff that get put in a corner and never used
I enjoyed listening to the video.
I loved this video! Yes, Mom’s are usually right. Love the crockpot idea. I also recently have been unsubscribing from both emails from retailers and I’ve also unsubscribed from some YouTubers who are constantly showing shopping hauls. Love the idea about wearing plainer clothing; I’ve been doing that for about 20 years.
Haven’t tried this yet but instead of buying everything with a card, pull out a select amount of cash (i.e.$200), and only use it for the week. Run out too quick, use the card as a backup. Otherwise, whatever you spend that week (say, $87), limit yourself to that. I hate carrying bills and chump change, but if a measly card makes a dent in my wallet…
AND CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS! I’ve been charged by Amazon for Prime benefits I never asked for! Curse the fine print….
My method is to keep a wish list and I only buy things on my wish list during big sales. Simple but works really well. 🙂
Bottled water — buy in bulk
Filters don’t work that well
Drying clothes kills bacteria
Rick Amira dry then in the sunshine. There is no bacteria if you washed them right.
But water in bulk
Filters are poor!
Drying clothes kills bacteria

Cars are necessary w a family —
But a Toyota or Honda
Find a good mechanic
Read a manual for your car
I bike to work, grocery shopping, simply everywhere. And I don’t have a car.
Great tips 🙌🙌🙌
This kid can be President, one day. His Parents did good job raising him. Thumbs Up to Mr. and Mrs. O Brien.
I’ve been buying Bobble water bottles for years (have built in filter). If you wash your clothes @ laundromat, dryer is necessary (unless you want wet clothes in your car).
When he said these things I was Iike I mess with Nate😂😂😂heavily smart smart me to bro
Thanks for your wisdom and advice.
I am a new subscriber, I am enjoying your videos. Great content
My husband wears the same thing over and over. He loves his gray T-shirts. People notices that all our travel pictures he’s in a gray shirt. Lol! It doesn’t bother him one bit.
Great video with useful tips. Thanks, Nate. (Like and Subscribed)
If you do have to own a car, buy a used Toyota. I bought an old Highlander for $10,000, already have it paid off and it will still last longer than a Ford that as bought new the same day I bought my car. ….& I couldn’t agree more about hanging up your clothes. I grew up poor and my mom loved hanging up our clothes to dry. They smelled fresh and you don’t have all that lint being pulled off your clothes. If you think about it, hanging up your clothes is a great way to make those clothes last longer as well!
Its so tiring and you dont look happy at all
Stop and ear me out, i’ve tried the entirety, you need to earn onliNe?? Just take a look at *O Ne b i Z o pp. C om* work hard 2.5 hours per day and earn!

For me a dryer saves valueble time
I’ve been binge watching your videos. They’re the right length and you say a lot of things in that time. You have a decent haircut and modest, simple clothing. You’re not cluttered up with piercings and tattoos and you don’t swear. I’m 64 years old and it’s a rare event that I would admire a young person, but you’ve gotten my admiration.
These are some great tips! Especially the grocery pick-up. It’s so much easier to stay within your food budget and find cheaper items.

@t
honestly i feel like the best tip would be to avoid personal debt and focus on leveraging for assets. get rid of personal loans, credit cards debt, car loans and put your extra cash towards creating wealth through assets.
It’s not a gift to give someone something that you can’t afford. If they really care about you, they don’t want you to do that.
*smashed the like button*
RIP celly
Whenever I coupon I go to Family Dollar and use their online coupons and buy things I need like Bar soap, Detergent, Baby wipes, Toothpaste, Dish Soap, TP etc. and use their $5 off $25 purchase and an extra coupon for each item. I use the coupons only using my phone, meaning I don’t need to use my paper or ink and whenever I go like once a month I buy over $25 worth of stuff for like $13 or less. Way better than Costco or Sam’s and without a membership!
Is no one going to talk about the $2 bill from the thumbnail?! 😂
I have a few that I don’t want to spend, but idk if they’re even worth more than $2 haha! 😅
Na they’re not worth more than $2. You can get them from the bank for the $2 as an exchange
TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross. I got a nice pair of suede Cole Haan for $27 and Ralph Lauren performance Polo for $15, Vineyard Vine button down for $15, 100% Linen short sleeve button down for $10. Season ending clearance racks ftw.
Looks like you’ve got lines racked up on the table to your left
Chips Ahoy! Now I’m getting hungry 🙂
Thanks for the simple yet practical tips. Keep safe!
I got my girlfriend and myself a couple of Sawyer water filters that has a 1 Micron filter good for 100,000 gallons. It comes with a flush kit and cost me about $20 from Dave Canterbury Bushcraft Survival website.
Thank you so much for all your advice, I’m just begin to think in invest my savings, get more conscious in how to use my money etc (I downloaded an app for check my budget thanks again to you)…. All this is new for me.
Are you wearing a vintage Rolex? Great way to hedge on a time piece. Thanks for the info.
Hang-drying your clothes also helps them last longer!
With this covid thing, I’m taking more showers, washing more cloth, I mean bags, and lunch box, have to wash them on my day off, drying more clothes, can’t reused grocery plastic bag for my trash can , have to buy them,
This mechanic told me I need this and this and that repair for my car , went to other shop for another point check as a way for 2nd opinion for me and said there is nothing wrong with my car, so mechanic do lie and it not safe to bike in my city
stop telling people to unsubscribe from email lists. i make my money by convincing people to sign up 🤣💀
thanks man. walmart is a good idea. I shop at whole foods because i think the vegetables are so fresh they seem to last long but i will try walmart
New viewer here offering maybe useful perspective. Stopped watching at 1:48. You said people shouldn’t negotiate the price of a lettuce at the farmer’s market, and I agree with that, but the reasons you gave I think are not good reasons and maybe you didn’t actually mean them…. “Because you’ll look like a cheapskate” – actually, a great way to live a frugal life is to work past being concerned with if you look like a cheapskate or not. “Because it’s two dollars. Two dollars. It’s not worth it.” The truth is every cent adds up, so to save money it’s worth negotiating over the cost of anything, no matter what the asking price is. I think it’s not worth negotiating over the cost of that lettuce because the odds of getting it cheaper are so very negligible. My intent isn’t criticism, it’s to draw your attention to this so you have the opportunity to learn from it if what you actually said isn’t what you meant. Xx
I wish I could unsubscribe from spam emails
This is really good stuff thanks man!
for some reason you remind me of leonardo dicaprio
i gave up my car completely- sold it to a friend who makes payments monthly with interest. i use that payment to buy a postmates gift card that lasts me a whole month and order one delivery a day ( OMAD ) . no groceries, no car , no insurance, no repairs, no registration etc. water is filtered in a pitcher, coffee and creamer ordered online.
I used to by so much water, but I eventually bought a filter for my house and the filters will filter 5000 gallons
Go to the goodwill (or any donation center) in rich neighborhoods. Rich people keep receipts of donations for tax write offs, but often get rid of NICE stuff, that goes for cheap. Let others get the new stuff and drop it off when the next “new” comes around.
Do you live in a cardboard box?
Tiny living too! Living a life of travel in a van and plan on semi-retiring in 3 years (at age 34) and reaching FIRE
You look so good
Just wanted to add something to your tip about hanging your clothes to dry. I use an outdoor retractable clothesline. I love the way the clothes smell. Another reason to hang them out is because they last much, much longer. All that lint in your dryer’s lint trap is from your clothes wearing out after using the dryer.
I will only start earning in my 30s let alone retire. 😂😂😂
We’re a family of 4 in a quite hilly city and bought an e-bike with child trailer. BEST DECISION!! We save sooo much money. We don’t need to fuel up every week, we save time ’cause congestion is not an issue for us, we’re hardly ever ill and save even more money AND time ’cause we don’t need to go to the gym to stay fit and lean. No reason for not doing it except all the noisy and aggressive cars around 😉
I was so close to buying a 1k guitar. Glad I survived the day without doing something stupid.
This kind of Videos never work! , a beautiful internet portal with a purpose to create investment remotely and independently is only this url: *HomePAY .m e* , You should test it nowadays.

Well idk how old you are but I am 22 and my truck in high school used an OBD 1 scanner, lol talk about fixing crap weekly
a top notch internet site of work and earn funding remotely and independently might be *H o m e p a y .Me* .
Great frugal living tips! Bottled water is very expensive. I try to always bring my own water with me….I dress simple, wear the same clothes all the time..I’ve heard that shopping online can save money. I haven’t tried it yet, but I want to.
Dont cheap out on a ladder. You’re going to fall and break your neck. How much is that going to cost you in the long run?
Most grocery stores charge extra for grocery pickup. Not just the fee but items cost more as well. If your time is worth more money it is totally worth it but if you have the time plan your meals and make a list and only buy what you have on your list and stick to your budget.
I hate to say this but, this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, i could teach him how to save money , this guy is a kid he has a lot to learn.
