Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is laid to rest at a private funeral near St Petersburg, Russia, a week after he died in a plane crash, according to his press service. His press service said Prigozhin was buried in a private ceremony outside his home city of St Petersburg. The Kremlin said President Vladimir Putin would not attend the funeral of his former ally. Services were also held for other leaders of the mercenary group who the Kremlin says were killed a plane crash last Wednesday.
