The Islamabad high court has granted former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan two weeks’ bail on corruption charges. On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled his arrest this week was unlawful. Khan’s arrest led to mass protests, resulting in at least eight deaths. Imran Khan is blaming the head of Pakistan’s powerful army for his arrest, which sparked mass protests, violence and looting.
