ARK Invest is teaming up with 21shares to launch new crypto-focused ETFs. ARK Invest Founder and CEO Cathie Wood says the partnership made sense given how complementary the firms’ areas of expertise are. Wood says that bitcoin (BTC-USD) is “the first global, digital, private rules based monetary system in history” adding that global monetary policy is “unhinged, it’s not hinged to anything except human decision-making” and that “the monetary system is bitcoin.” Ark is one of the several firm trying to launch a spot bitcoin ETF. Inflation is starting to cool, with the October Consumer Price Index coming in flat from last month. Inflation cooled in October, with CPI flat from prior month

The Consumer Price Index rose 3.2% year-over-year in October, less than the expected 3.3%. Month-over-month, the index was flat versus estimates of an increase of 0.1%. Stripping out food and energy, prices rose 4.0% year-over-year compared to an estimate of 4.1%. Core prices rose 0.2%, less than the 0.3% estimate.
