Germany state elections: Voters head to the polls in Bavaria

Elections in Germany’s largest state Bavaria are being seen as a test of where Europe’s largest economy is heading. Polls show increasing support for the far-right party the Alternative for Germany (AFD). Traditionally, the party is stronger in the east of the country.
