Egypt: Scientists reveal hidden corridor in Great Pyramid of Giza

Scientists in Egypt have confirmed a hidden corridor has been found in the Great pyramid of Giza. The unfinished passageway is nine meters long. Egypt uncovers 250 coffins with mummies, statues found in Saqqara

Archaeologists in Egypt have unveiled another massive haul of priceless artefacts. They were found in the Saqqara Necropolis – a site near Cairo, where many ancient treasures have been discovered. The artifacts include statues of the gods Anubis, Amun, Min, Osiris, Isis, Nefertum, Bastet, and Hathor along with a headless statue of the architect Imhotep, who built the Saqqara pyramid. Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that the 250 coffins, 150 bronze statues, and other objects dated to the Late Period, about 500 BC. Egypt unveils 3,000-year-old coffins at Saqqara necropolis

0 Egypt has announced another major archaeological discovery in Saqqara: a temple dedicated to a mysterious queen whose pyramid they found years ago. Her name has been revealed as Neit, wife of King Teti. They have also found 22 funerary shafts filled with coffins and artefacts where archaeologists unearthed 54 coffins, some more than 3,000 years old. The Saqqara necropolis is the vast cemetery of the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
