Egypt calls on UN to intervene after impasse in Nile dam talks

Ethiopia has rejected Egypt’s call for the United Nations to resolve a dispute over a controversial dam on the Nile River. Cairo has asked the UN Security Council for a “fair and balanced solution”. Most of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is complete, but there are still several issues delaying the project.
