Croatia adopts euro, enters borderless Europe club on New Year

Croatia has switched to the euro and entered Europe’s passport-free zone – two important milestones for the country after joining the European Union (EU) nearly a decade ago. At midnight on Sunday, the Balkan nation bid farewell to its kuna currency and became the 20th member of the eurozone. Germany inflation: Families struggle with cost of living

The Eurozone is reporting record inflation, with the rate now at its highest since records began in 1997. In the 19 countries that use the Euro, the rate has soared to 8.6 per cent. And that is sending the cost of living to new highs.
