In this episode of Fault Lines, we look into Florida’s cosmetic surgery industry, which has made national headlines for its high incidence of patient death and disfigurement, especially with regard to the extremely popular Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgeries. The Florida Board of Medicine has spent years trying to place guardrails on the industry, particularly with regard to BBL surgeries, but our investigation reveals a pattern of surgeons engaging in unsafe practices and lobbying lawmakers to allow them to continue doing so. Hotel Rwanda hero Paul Rusesabagina freed from prison

The man who saved more than 1200 lives during the Rwandan genocide and inspired the film ‘Hotel Rwanda’, has been released from prison. Paul Rusesabagina was sentenced to 25-years on terrorism-related charges two years ago. Actor Alec Baldwin to be charged with involuntary manslaughter after 2021 shooting. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died after she was wounded by a gunshot during a scene rehearsal.
