Finland is proposing new border restrictions to prevent the country from being an easy way for Russians to reach the EU as tourists. That is after the numbers trying to cross the border doubled following President Vladimir Putin’s partial mobilisation decree. Long queues have formed at Russia’s land borders as people try to escape President Putin’s mobilisation of reservist forces. Flights out if the country are also said to be full, with tickets to the few countries that allow Russians visa-free travel selling at inflated prices.
