The US Defense Secretary has arrived in Doha after visiting Bahrain and Israel on Monday. Lloyd Austin announced the formation of a multinational naval task force to patrol the Red Sea. The United States has deployed two aircraft carriers and fighter jets to the Middle East during Israel’s war on Gaza. It is reportedly moving more warships from the Arabian Gulf to the Gulf of Aden to deter Houthi attacks on the Red Sea.
