Europe’s drought exposes WWII ships, bombs and prehistoric stones

Archaeologists have been delighted by the emergence of a prehistoric stone circle dubbed the ‘Spanish Stonehenge’. Japan searches for WWII soldiers’ remains on Peleliu

The Pacific island of Peleliu was the scene of a brutal World War II battle involving US and Japanese soldiers. The battle was expected to last four days but continued for more than two months with nearly 13,000 dead. Seventy-five years on, the grim task of identifying and repatriating remains continues.
