After Roberta Hoskie learned the man who returned a lost check was homeless, she set him up with job training and housing. Hoskie was once homeless herself and she’s paying it forward.

Homeless Man Rewarded After Returning Lost $10,000 Check | NBC Nightly News
It is good that he is getting a chance to get on his feet. Everyone deserves an honest shot at that but it really hard to cash a 10k+ check so it is not like 10,000 cash.
There is still some good in this cold world
It’s only cold because it’s winter. Oh yeah, and because money trumps justice and logic …. need I go on?
@Theo C no
I disliked the video because there weren’t any. Now there is.
Umm alrite
I was homeless, and I am also James Park’s ex. I was homeless in the beautiful city of Ann Arbor. My husband was/is a professor at the university of michigan, we were going through tough times, and I couldn’t stand being with him anymore. I had no money, and I saw the other side of this city. I am a liberal elite, and was not treated nicely by other liberal elites when living on the street. Apparently it is a crime to become homeless. If you go into to business minding your own business store owners call the police, for what I don’t know, but they give you these lovely citations called “no trespass” citations. I did not steal anything. I just stood in the store. The police would always harass me on the street for no reason other than I looked homeless. When I asked my liberal” friends” for money their pockets were bare. I ran into my husband’s professor friends and they walk right by me, and ignored me. My husband is a Rhodes Scholar, and double Ivy Leaguer. My ex boyfriend is the CEO of FitBit I have lived on two Ivy league campuses, and I have seen the other side of life, and it’s disgusting. Homelessness should not be treated as a crime.
My name is not samanth lyn. James’s wife works for NBC. OK bye.
I’m from Ann Arbor, originally too. What’s with the conflicting posts that make it appear like you are contradicting yourself?
How many drugs are you on?
So Sweet😢made me cry😊
More of real people stories, please. Thank you.
Considering the monumental task the homeless face in their everyday day lives, struggling with their everlasting endeavors to merely survive, it’s apparent that the only rational solution to this ongoing problem is to employ them in highly aggressive K-9 training at local law enforcement agencies.
“You need a fix to get by for today? Okay, well first we would like to perform some heart monitor tests first. Put on this jacket and jog around for a while.”

such an awesome story
Awesome
Great publicity stunt….would you do business with a person who loses $10,000 cheques?
the homless man cried when she heard that he wont get cold anymore. isnt it so amazing to feel when you help someone in need. the blessings will come back to you in ten folds. God bless this man forever as long as he lives and God bless those other homeless as well.
