Hundreds of protesters have clashed with security forces in Lebanon for a third day, angry about a nationwide lockdown that has left them unable to cope financially.
Police in the northern city of Tripoli used tear gas and water cannon to beat back protesters who are demanding the government do more to fix the dire economy.
Protesters say they are hungry, unable to cope with third week of coronavirus curbs.

@SAM that’s because, the rate of transmission is supposed to be Exponential.. an actual decrease in daily cases can only be done with proper lockdowns, but without any lockdown in place, situation would have been much worse, everyone in this world would have been affected, and 2 percent of the global population might have died. But the efforts that we’ve seen were mostly ineffective lockdowns, and failures to curb international transmission by not being strict with travel restrictions. Result: Most of the world will have a gruesome 3rd wave despite the oncoming vaccine
