I don’t know if it changed my life per se,

I mean I have the same wife, the same
kids, the same house, same old Skoda,

it’s kind of it, it hasn’t changed that much.
But then at the same time it has, I mean,

I think that life changes you and you
spend nine years, in my line of work,

you usually go from job, to job, to job and
here we’ve spent nine years together

and I think this last year, knowing that
it was coming to an end, has been quite

extraordinary for all of us, because
you start really enjoying

coming back to Belfast every year and
that’s now coming to an end, so that’s…

People change you, and then the people
you meet in your life that changes you.

I would like to think that the success
or failure of whatever I’m doing

is not going to define me as a person,
but the people I meet in my life define me.

What about the role of Jaime Lannister?
Did you enjoy that character?

Fantastic character, you know, it’s
beautifully written, he’s such a…

he has such a journey from beginning to end…
You couldn’t ask much more from a character.

And of course, there’s a lot of security,
I’ve read about scripts and sometimes,

you don’t even know what you’re meant
to say or it could be in your earpiece.

Yeah, I’ve made up some stories
on previous talk shows,

I did tell someone that we only got the script
through the ear, we never actually read a script.

But the security is very tight, I do, I mean I have
an app with the scripts on and once you’ve shot it,

the script just disappears, vanishes.
It’s quite like Mission Impossible style.

It seems ridiculous but you know,
I’m sure there’s a good reason for it.

As you say, Nikolaj, it’s coming
to an end, or it’s come to an end

and you’ve had to say
goodbye to this family,

but people don’t want it to end and
they’re already talking about prequels.

Yes, yes. I know, good luck,
that’s exciting and I know that for

Northern Ireland, Belfast,
it’s been fantastic,

and we’ve had, because it’s been nine
years, you’ve had people starting,

they’ve actually been trained as film workers,
so you have, the whole infrastructure is in place

and yeah, I know they’re shooting,
they will shoot a pilot for a prequel,

set in the same world,
I don’t know anything about it,

I know it won’t feature any of
the same actors, that’s for sure.

And do you think, I know you
can’t say anything about it,

but do you think the fans
will be happy with the ending?

I’m sure there’ll be a lot of discussion.
I was very happy when I read the scripts,

I thought Dan Weiss and David Benioff,
they just couldn’t have done a better job.

I can tell you we’ve done the best we can.
