To start, lets talk about THE GREAT RESIGNATION, while nearly 40% of Americans are thinking about QUITTING their jobs, with “I QUIT” now being called a sign of an economic recovery.
First, one of the most SELF EXPLANATORY reasons people are quitting: They want to work from home.
The reality is, many employees got USED to working remotely, not having a commute, and being able to focus on their work without any office distraction – and that’s something they want the option of keeping. In fact, it was found that “ One in 4 pandemic home buyers would choose to stay at their new home and find a new job if required to return to the office.”
Second, Employees are looking for LESS WORK.
During the last year, as some businesses downsized their staff…that increased workload fell on fewer employees who had to pick up the slack. All of a sudden, one person was doing the work for two – and the expectation was, at least you’re fortunate enough to have a job in the first place…but NOW, the turns have tabled.
Third, people are quitting because they value CAREER GROWTH.
It was found that “80% of those thinking of leaving a job are concerned about career growth, and nearly 75% say the pandemic made them rethink their skill sets.” It was even said that “High-performing workers are the most concerned about career advancement in their current jobs, and they no longer feel geographically tied to local employers in a remote world.”
Fourth, employees are also quitting because they’re getting BETTER OFFERS with HIGHER PAY.
Workers who stay loyal to the same job make, on average, 50% LESS than someone who switches jobs every 2-3 years. That’s because workers who switch jobs are able to negotiate better terms with an increased pay…and now, during a worker SHORTAGE, the EMPLOYEE has more leverage in terms of who they pick to work with.
And fifth – companies are flat out getting more competitive.
The unemployment boost also has a second benefit for employees – it gives them the LUXURY of shopping around, taking their time, and waiting for the best career opportunity instead of snatching up the first offer they get. That’s leading EMPLOYERS to become more competitive, offer higher pay, with better working conditions, sometimes from home – and, employees are the ones who get to benefit.
Workers realized that they can get just as much done from home, IF NOT MORE, while saving time on commuting, spending more time with friends and family, AND saving money in the process…and, companies are taking notice. To attract top talent, businesses should be bending over backwards to make their employees happy – and, if they’re not – right now, there are plenty of others willing to give them what they want.
This is being referred to “The Great Reshuffling,” as people switch careers, employers, and locations, finding work they value much more – and, in the long run, I think this is a GOOD THING. Employers should be able to retain better quality employees…employees will get better working conditions and higher pay…not to mention, maybe a better work-life balance.

Thanks for showing me your sports car in the background. It gave me all the psychological cues it was intended to.
So Graham will quit YouTube🤞 edit. I think that inflation is about to explode specially if you consider that private bizz now has to compete against the Government.
Love that you’re speaking on this 👏 🙌
I remember all of the heartless people laughing when MacDonald’s installed the electronic signs. Now people aren’t accepting these poor conditions and low wages and following their dreams and now those same people are complaining, “nobody wants to work, unemployment is paying too much, people are lazy.” No, people are discovering their value, with the internet some people could stay home and make more in a couple of hours than working a 12 hour shift.
Most jobs spit in your face twice in one day. They spit in your face with low pay. Then they spit in your face by expecting maximum effort for multiple different tasks you are responsible for. They really wanna have it all. It’s bullshit.
In most of the world’s best economies, workers are paid more, work less hours and are generally happier than in the US. Time to reevaluate some things.
Oh, I quit because my boss was worse than Hitler

you sure that isn’t a chipmunk?
This vid shows that the young have not lived yet…..and because they don’t like the world… “i quit” millennials a re a bunch of half wit pussies , spoiled, angry, horrible little monsters that don’t even know they are born. However saying all of that, a lot of ideas come from America and one of them is the cutting of salary “epidemic” standards of service are suffering because some bright spark thought, i know how to make money by telling huge companies how to save money…. and now we have long hours, poor pay….for fucks sake it’s the 21st century and people need to earn 21st century wages!!! When will people learn that giving a cheaper better service and paying a decent wage is how to make money, not keep putting every thing up in price and cutting corners and staff hours. I have seen many things change over the past 10 years…. and i have to say it ain’t for the good. The only way forward is to have a 3 day general strike, and then lets see the rich squirm because they can not get their Starbucks, Maccy,”D”s , and any other service they take for granted… along with the ass hole bosses’.
Started my own vending machine business..so hopefully that takes off and I’ll def quit my job

That is a chipmunk, sir. Not a squirrel.
Nah fam I got fired lmao
My question is who is paying their bills?! You can’t get unemployment for quitting your job. I have always operated on having another job waiting for me before quitting, I don’t get it. If they’re getting into the gig industry or starting their own internet or brick and mortar businesses, I can understand that. But quitting and staying at home and not working- how are they paying their bills?!
I’ll be honest with you, I’m not with the 9-5 working for someone situation either. I’d rather start my own internet business. But I will ALWAYS have an income plan, staying at home without the bills getting paid is not happening for me, and I don’t want a handout. I take pride in paying my own way.
Thanks for watching, I have something real profitabIe I would love to introduce to you.

Should have put up a “now hiring” sign off to the side after the “please stand by” pause. 😋
whats up Graham its guys here??
But wasn’t that a chipmunk?
I want to bring back Unions that are an updated version to fit into today’s workplace. Employees need support. HR is bs and companies don’t care about their employees.
Lol i liked your video just because of that smooth little “smash this like button” news article bit 😏
(and to help your channel<3)
I love it – an employees market
Boomers: “Millenials are all lazy, ungrateful, communists!”
Also Boomers:
>Grew up in mostly middle class two parent families
>Could live on minimum wage while going to school
>Low inflation
>Career opportunities
>Low taxation
Our account switched to working from home starting March last year. the company decided to keep it that way because it’s a lot more convenient and they can use the space we vacated for other accounts.
I’m one week into a 2 weeks notice, new job commute is waaaaay shorter.
Glad to be an electrician
whats up graham its guys here lol
What’s up Graham it’s Guys here? 😂
Working a regular 9-5 but going to start a building some passive income. My goal is to quit my day job within a year ( if it happens sooner I’m all for it lol) and move out of the country to the UK or France. The ONLY reason why I’m here in the USA is beca I don’t have a lot of money. THAT is about to change!
Anyone else notice he got the intro backwards?
Whats up gram guys here 😁. Took me a min to process that. I love your videos and I feel I learn a lot from them! Thank you and keep it up!
3:56 minutes in and I thought this was about why 40% of people are about to quit their jobs so why the F are we talking about remote work?
I frankly have ZERO sympathy for employers who pay less than unemployment and can’t find workers. Any employer paying less than unemployment is paying poverty wages.
Also, why is everyone pretending like we haven’t been drowning in inflation for decades?
I didn’t quit. I fired the previous employer. Still makes me smile. It was a whole weight off my shoulders.
1:35 that’s not a squirrel, that’s a chipmunk…
I don’t like…. I just want to hear more
I left my job because of a plethora of reasons that became apparent during the pandemic. Under-pay. No growth. Terrible support system and team. I went back to freelancing, I name my rate, and I have many options and avenues to explore.
I left my job of 20 years in April. I was a retail manager, making a decent middle class income. Dealing with customers became worse. Managing people became worse. It wasn’t worth it anymore. I was chronically understaffed because the company only paid the workers $12.00/hr. People deserve better pay and have reevaluated their values.
@pinnedby• Grahams Stephan piss off scammer, I know your not really Graham
“What’s up Graham it’s Guys here.”
Sounds pretty privileged
That squirrel looked a lot like a chipmunk
Lumbar prices have not come down
Just wondering if these people have bills. You can do this when living with your parents still.
I am so proud of all the millennials! We are the change. Take back your life, learn new skills, think out of the box. Be smarter how you spend your money so you don’t have to work yourself to death. Negotiate your working terms. I work with some miserable fulltimers, saying they only work fulltime because of the benefits and that is a city job, can’t imagine working for a commercial company.
I quit working in news right as the pandemic really got going. Don’t regret it at all. Not on unemployment, just don’t wanna piss my days away working for shitty people.
I mean, let’s talk about the real reason prices on goods will go up… the head honchos in the boardrooms and C suites are protecting their profit margin and are more concerned about their take-home pay, bonuses and astronomical ROIs than the welfare of the economy. Let’s stop blaming inflation on common people for their pursuit of higher wages, when these billionaires and millionaires have made their obscene money off of the 98% of us who are just barely making ends meet by working 40+ hrs a week (with no savings accounts).
I want to I work for a university and I do have good benefits and I’m grateful but I’m also really unhappy with my work
It makes sense though. Why would I clock in for less money and more stress?
Love ur humor, guys … uh, I mean Graham. And thank u for not abusing the expression “guys” as a form of address on your youtube channel. Its overuse drives me crazy! U have great content, are very articulate, and ur voice has a nice, even cadence. Continued success.

The tables have turn. I remember the employer will show employees a stack of applications and say, “ if you don’t like it, the door is wide open.” Now with so many options on online jobs, heck you can even down load a app and start making money. Employers are starting to feel the pain that once the employer felt when his job was in treat. It won’t go back as technology improves.
It is largely because Millennials want lives that take years to build but they don’t want to build, they want it now.
Ppl are tired of being low balled by their rich asshole bosses
Now Imagine this: The government and media stop dividing the nation and labeling everything racist, and people realize that it’s not the black against white or the left against the right, but it’s actually the rich against the poor.
As a slot attendant, I absolutely love what I do. I look forward to each new day.
However, in this case – love isn’t enough. The pay is a dollar above minimum wage and the tips are pooled. This means I see $0.03 from every $100 I put into the pool.
Driving to work, there are numerous signs at coffee bars and fast food places, all say the same thing.
“Starting wage: $16.50 per hour”
This is two dollars more than what I make in my unionized job.
To date, the company and the union have chosen to ignore this situation.
Eight years of loyalty and consistent service, I’m still below the new minimum wage.
No mention in the comments how employees are taxed to death. 35-45% in taxes total a year normally, now exacerbated by inflation.
WHATS UP GRAHAM ITS GUYS HERE
sooooo were not gonna talk about the fact that 20% of all US dollar was printed in 2020?
“What’s up graham, its guys here” lol
hehe
0:00 “What’s up Graham, this is guys here” 😂😂😂
Crazy im debating quitting my job by the end of this year and I came across this video. Im not on unemployment or anything I just feel sick supporting a company that did almost nothing to help during the pandemic. I borderline feel like im selling my soul. Im deff in the mass reassessment of work group
his camera guy quit and he went right back into the video. what a chad
I am not quitting my job, because it is a good job. But the pandemic has shown me that I definitely do not want to stay there forever.
For anyone that plans on quitting your job to do what you love just make sure your good at what you love first. It can set you back a loooong time if your bad at what you love. Now I do what I love while getting paid to do what I’m good at even though it’s not as much as I could make just doing what I’m good at.
Small business have gotten away with underpaying their workers relative to the cost of living for far too long and now workers are revolting
I think it’s a little disingenous to talk about how a shortage of labor increases competition between employers, yet you’re proposing that people getting payed more will drive up prices.
I think with the expansion of the market by more people earning viable living wages will allow competitors to lower their prices to access these new consumers that can suddenly afford a lot more things. Inflation rhetoric is literally just a tool to trick people into voting against their own interest and playing right into the hands of rich people. I’m a big fan of your channel but honestly it’s very damaging for you to be spewing this rhetoric for your advantage to the detriment of your fellow citizens
American Workers need to be paid a living Wage, if You work a full time Job, You should be able to afford some kind of a Roof over Your Head! Corporations have become more greedy over the years, increasing profit margins while decreasing the Workers Wages and thus quality of life. I know how things should be, but a lot of the younger People are starting to r finally realize how bad they’re being screwed, Covid 19 brought a lot to light!
Oh people have already been doing the work of two people since 2008 when they had all those layoffs. They just didn’t want to do the work of 3-4 people. You’d have to quit because you would burn out.
That wasn’t even a squirrel

I want to find a job I can do remotely 100%. Use Starlink internet to connect to work and live on a boat. While selling my house and buying a liveaboard boat is easy, getting a marina spot that allows liveaboard will happen right around when I reach retirement age.

Loooool, it’s because jobs in our country suck. That’s why I became an entrepreneur.
smashed the Like because I know you do respond. Learned last week, my job is being relocated, so coming closer to the end of October I’ll be deep in the job search. Sucks, but the alternative of finding another job within the company or taking the severance , I’m taking the money and running, because there are jobs everywhere.
Electrician at Tradesmen international right now laughing my way to the bank with double my old wage. On top of this, every employer I work for has to pay them double what it costs just to have me around. Like I said, laughing all the way to the bank. Small business or not. Last employer I just told him, “I hate this job, respectfully.” Handed him the keys and he didn’t budge and now he’s got no employees because they all followed suit. Meanwhile, we still never finished the bosses hot tub. Guess he’s gonna have to call an electrician
Inflation is about 15%.
I think thats a chipmunk
Ahaha ohhhh how times have changed… lmao 💀
When did the millennial’s actually do any work ? What skills are they offering us with their vast experience of school and college some fukfit they follow on a social media platform.
I quit my job. This is not back in the day. Pay me my worth!
Then produce a product worth what you want. Its that simple.
About the work from home point:
I personally take medications for mental health diagnoses because mental health has become so prevalent lately. I realized that I’m even more productive because I’m not rushing myself out the door to get to the office on time which causes me to forget my morning medications quite frequently. Working from home, my medications are literally in front of me when I sit at my desk.
But for quite a few of my coworkers (an office of twenty or so in a company of 1000+), many have said that they’d rather return to the office because home is distracting to them. I assume this is simply because these are coworkers who are married and/or have children whereas I am not either of those categories.
I’ve realized my life is worth more than a job I dislike. You only have one life on this planet. I don’t want to spend it giving my days away to companies that don’t give a crap about me. There’s so much I’ve been doing with family and friends since I’ve came to this realization. Life isn’t supposed to be this bleak and we aren’t supposed to be this disconnected from each other.
When I read rich dad poor dad book I realized workers are suckers especially if u got a job not a career
10 bucks for a McDonald’s value meal coming soon
Truth! My job needs people and people are quitting! It’s over $20.00 an hour…
I quit my job in June. I needed more freedom to be available for my children. Now I work for myself and can make my own schedule and make more money than I did working for a corporation.
I’m a UPS Driver i plan on resigning
Well said. Our generation ain’t taking no more bs
Too many bs jobs.
On the topic of inflation, companies don’t _have to_ raise prices due to paying employees more etc. They _choose_ to. They make millions (some billions) in profit and would *still* be well in the safe zone if they kept prices the same while paying their employees better. They could also (but never will) pay their CEOs etc more realistic salaries instead of them getting the equivalent of 4+ employees yearly earnings.
Is it still possible to milk some of this unemployment money while keeping my job? It’s purely to take money from the government. I don’t think they deserve it. I’ve paid them to do things that they aren’t doing.
I decided to use this time to get my Masters degree.
Used cars right when I wanted to buy a used truck. Hope it doesn’t hold.
I stayed employed throughout the whole pandemic and never got a raise nor got any bonus. Can’t wait to quit next week and find a better paying job and I’ll make sure of it!
Covid made people really think about what they’re willing to settle for in terms of employment and quality of life. I see us shifting more towards the European model within the next decade
Was thinking of quitting my current job, to do doordash and Uber on a schedule I want and can make more money than 19 an hour
everything is overly expensive. Most these jobs don’t pay enough to survive let alone why spend my days busting my ass dealing with someone else’s bullshit when I can take unemployment and flip it on my own….idk I’m seeing this is the mentality of a lot of us millennials.
NO ONE is having a hard time finding people to hire, they just refuse to increase wages. Its NOT EXTREME to offer a very small amount of compensation , its you being a bad business
Has anyone read Atlas Shrugged
I quit my job in May! Found a new one but yea, the burnout and disrespect is REAL!
