Thank goodness the officers were there to help along with other people. A fractured skull is definitely dangerous! Just depends on how much brain damage she sustained. Hope she and her mom will be ok. The drunk driver needs to be locked up so he can’t injure anyone else!

A driver convicted of a DUI must do some serious prison time plus have all the vehicles he/she owns impounded or immobilized for the duration of the license suspension. Make sure they can’t rent or buy another vehicle during that period and if anyone lends them a car should do prison time.

The same thing happened to an old friend of mine in San Francisco, about 27 years ago, a muni bus driver ran over him, his wheels on his head while the freaking driver just sat in his seat as all our buddies and bystanders were trying to lift up the bus and pull him out from the wheel, no concern for human life at all, sickening

When I see this type of things and I see Good Samaritans and Officers helping like this, Putting their heart and effort out there to help save a life makes me have hopes again to see a better World.

The drunk’s lawyer will claim the woman and child would not have been injured if the mother had used the crosswalk and she should be assigned a percentage of responsibility and damages.
This is actually true if the driver was not impaired and had stopped at the stop sign. But the same video, this video, that the lawyer will use will actually prove the women/child would have been injured and both probably killed if she had used the crosswalk.
This happened at the intersection of Lake Ave and Morningside Ave and is a three way stop sign intersection (Morningside is one way so not a 4 way stop). Pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk. She would have entered the crosswalk because she has the right of way think traffic would obey the stop sign and since the drunk didn’t stop at the sign 100% of the burden will fail on him, as it should.
His being drunk prevents the defense from claiming it was simply an accident. I hope he does some real jail/prison time, I hope he has insurance and a bunch of money to pay heavy damages to the mother, child and barbershop
