For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

One of my favorite actors of all time. As a kid in the 80’s, “To Sir, with love” was the first movie I saw him in, almost 20 years after it was released, and he changed my perception of what a man should be. Gentlemanly, respectful of all, also knowing your worth so as to not allow anyone, male or female, rewrite your story for you. Much respect ✊. Thank you for all the wonderful gems of cinematic history.
Sir Sidney 🙏👍💞

A truth gentleman with a strong spirit. Rip😔
I have watched his movies since childhood, he always amazed me with the force of his acting! Will be greatly missed! RIP!
What a dignified and wonderful man he was. RIP Mr. Poitier.
One of the classiest people to grace the screen. RIP
I idolized his work. As a little boy my mother would make us watch his movies when they were on. She’d tell us: — “See there, now that’s how a black man is supposed to act! Like he got some sense! Y’all better remember this!” — l did in time! As a adult, l still held Sidney virtually in perpetual sainthood!!! He could do no wrong! As a black child growing up in 1960’s Deep South Mississippi, l vividly recall my mother talking about “In The Heat Of The Night” and the scene in which Sidney slaps the bigoted plantation owner after getting slapped first. I didn’t understand it all until I’d personally gone through racial discrimination and fights and saw the movie as an adult. Then l called my mom saying: “Mama, I fully understand now.” She knew what l was talking about. Seeing a man with a 70 year career and NO MAJOR scandals in Hollywood in his life is unheard of! He demanded respect and got it! What a great black man!!!!! Rest well, Sidney….😔🕊
A truly wonderful actor, activist, and Man, I had a massive crush on Him when I saw To Sir With Love back in the 60s I was 11 and thought he was the most beautiful and powerful man ever! I guess I was right! 🙏🌹👏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am 50 years old, and remember viewing “To Sir With Love” in my teens with my mother. It’s her favourite movie. She says she saw this movie in 1968 in Jamaica, and it was the first time she saw a black man on screen being a leading man.
Yes…my mother has the same story as yours. If ever there’s a movie that reminds me of her, it’s that one. Even the song makes me cry.
Deepest condolences

Impfdurchbruch heisst, Impfung nützt nichts?! Jawohl!
Der Rest war RNA 0,00797% (6 ng).there is no Virus, it is the injection http://www.orwell.city/2021/06/covid-19-is-caused-by-graphene-oxide.html Pharma gibt ihr Geld ?!o

He was amazing
This saddens me. I saw Sidney so many years ago for the first time in the 60’s in a movie called, Lilies of the Field at a theatre that of course only had one screen as it was in those days. I can still remember seeing it with my family. I’m sorry to see Sidney pass on, he did live a long life and I hope he wasn’t in pain before he died. God has Sidney now, rest in peace Sidney.
I am still shocked just cannot believe he is gone. My first old fav gone. RIP blessings to his family.
