I think it is from American regulators. Western investors are weary of investing in China, because of what American regulators will do. So, they rather “derisk” from China instead.
There is no perception gap. The regulators changes policy within a day and enforces market wipe-out within a month. How long did it took the government to totally collapse the private tuition and private education sector? How long did it take the government to halt Alibaba IPO and what was the reason?
If we look at the sectors where there is crackdown like tutoring industry, gaming industry, prostitution or corruption. I think the case can be made that public interest is quite clear.
When you say “public feedback”, I don ‘t think you are talking about the corporate media in the west, are you? It is a biased media follow directive from Washington. Think Gaza, Yemen crisis, and Pakistan Floods.
@@phillip76 Please don’t lump the private education and gaming industry with prostitution and corruption. It is a false association. Private education and Gaming deliver goods that are consumed by the public. In extreme, yes, they can cause negative outcomes, but these can be said for every other goods or services taken into extreme. By suddenly enacting regulations to curtail or even close these industries creates widespread repercussion to people’s livelihood. These can be felt in the job’s report, which is also now been hidden. There is no discussion with the companies involved to see if targeted regulations can be applied. No discussion with families that really require tuition for their children. No one that have been through these can honestly say public interest has been considered. Look at how the regulators walk back from the recent gaming industry draft rules. So heavy-handed and clumsy. Obviously no thought have gone into it, let along discussing with the industry players.
The host is in deep denial that China will continue grow.
Lol delusional old man 😂 living in his own bubble

China produces 60% of world goods and still not industrialized??

Chinese regulators are much more willing to act for the public interest than say American regulators.
@@phillip76 What exactly is public interest is debatable. Without a transparent public feedback mechanism, how is this “public interest” gathered.

习禁评开倒车,妄图退回到改革开放之前,重塑集权和个人崇拜。搞文革2.0,丧心病狂的打压人权,中国人都心知肚明。
共产党的喉舌居然敢在这大放阙词??
