Browder didn’t mention that US also buys a big chunk of Russian oil currently and Biden admin has no near plans of cutting that… also inform American people that
Dont fear that, America “CAN” be the biggest oil producer in the world with just a decisions to open fracking back up. End of issue and WE supply the world. Lets get it!
The problem is Biden’ s ability to take this decision. He is being manipulated by the EPA and environmentalists. While do I understand the long-term effect of fossil fuels, the strict EPA regulations, and the massive demand for EVs should help correct this problem without making the America citizen suffer at the pump.
We are the largest producer. The problem is we use all we produce the good news is as EVs begin to be produced and used in the IS demand should fall couple percent each year for the next 20 years. We can supply the globe once we get demand down.
We can frack, but not in peoples back yards where water resources can be contaminated
The US Investors seem to feel that their more expensive LNG will free the European Citizens from their money and already US producers predict a $200 billion increase in revenue.
Bill doesnt represent so called western values by any measure. Democracy is not likes or thumbs up or hit counters, democracy is not a shareholders convention, and democracy is not limited to making a mark on a ballot after a minute in a polling booth. Democracy is a conversation and I think we would all do well to remember that, that the internet remains open for ideas to be debated and discussed. Just because Bill was first into Russia , doesnt mean we should be all following him into a brand new rabbit hole he himself has made. Thats my so called fifty cent comment. Let the conversation(s) continue.
Conversation is what Bill is proposing.
We all know diplomacy don’t mean jack to Putin since he doesn’t seem to back down even when the whole world is opposing this war.
So the only conversation Putin will understand can be done militarily and financially. Another WW has to be avoided at all costs so draining Putin and his supporters’ pockets is the only option.
There will always be plenty conversations among the democracies. It’s time for the Russians to discuss if this waste of human lives is really worth it.
Have you’ll thought what if Putin gets pushed too far and starts firing nuc missiles all over directions? This is really dangerous game
Green energy policies has Europe in a strangle hold, not Russia.
Maybe you mean the jump to establish green energy? I don’t understand how your comment makes sense
@A B
Germany is the largest economy and the most important member of the EU states.
After Fukushima, Germany decided to terminate it’s nuclear power industry. From 165 terawatts down to a current ~70 terawatts. The remaining plants is scheduled to close this year.
The plan was to use LNG to bridge the gap before being replaced with Wind, Solar and Biomass.
If the largest economy in the EU is to remain productive they need a stable energy sector. The multiparty system in Germany divides it’s control of government by the different parties forming the government’s coalition. The Green party in Germany controls the energy and foreign ministries in Germany.
It doesn’t take a genius to add ‘two plus two’ to figure why Germany demanded it’s sanctions against Russia excluded banks used for fuel imports from Russia.
These policies have led the EU into choosing to support UK or hamstring it economy.
I have little doubt behind the scenes (away from public scrutiny) the EU is scrambling to find an off ramp to this war by pressing the Ukrainians to negotiate with Russia for a settlement.
God bless solar energy. I’m not a hippie.
Solar is good but a bit outdated. Hydrogen fuel cell is the future
We should have seen this years ago. Being self sufficient and off oil forever will help everyone including the planet.
Why is Joe going to open up and release the Stratagic Petroleum Reserve… The Stratagic Petroleum Reserve main purpose is in the event of a WAR…. To supply the War, ie battle groups. planes ships and army…..
So Europe is funding Putin’s war against Europe, and Russia is dependent on their only customer the Europeans to keep buying even though their Russia’s current foreign policy stance is to alienate, terrify, and defile Europe as much as possible. Lovely.
Russia is not our enemy! We should be doing more business with them!
Can Xi just buy it all? Is that logistically possible?
Russia has a gas pipeline to Russia from it’s nat gas fields close to the area. They would need to build new ones to redirect the gas now being sent to Europe. For what I understand, that would be a 2 year project.
Bill Browder is a beautiful man, forever honoring the legacy of his friend, Sergei Magnitsky, who had the guts to speak out against Vladimir Putin. Putin essentially murdered Magnitsky, and ever since then Bill has made it his lifelong mission to speak out against the international criminal network headed by Putin. Bill puts himself at great personal risk, but he feels he owes it to his friend. His integrity is inspiring.
Seems like a (Canadian?) youtuber, Viva Frei … ?
Sounds like …
Ok … and a lets position people opposed to each other with physical projectile weapons directly across from each other and put people needing protection in between … (sarcasm) … like really … aaaahhhhhhhhhh …… disclaimer – real … don’t do that …
Dr. F. Fesharaki : Europe can Not survive without Russian energy
Without Russian commodities Europe will suffer from Recession
Bill Browder AKA Mr Swamp.
Europeans were fools to rely on a dictatorship for a crucial resource. The silver lining is that the Europeans will now diversify their energy supplies. It won’t happen quickly, but they will become less reliant on Putin’s dictatorship.
Don’t you see that Biden wants Russia to attack Ukraine. Sanctions on Russia except for buying Russian fuel. Buying Russian fuel is funding this war. Actions speak louder than words.
time for europe left woke lunatic liberals to wake da f up. PRODUCE MORE OIL, MORE FOSSIL FUEL, SAVE COSTS , AND THEN WITH THAT PROFIT TRANSITION SLOWLY TO “GREEN” ENERGY
Introduce fuel rationing. This will lower prices and help with the climate change emergency. People will jus have to be less wasteful and more sparing with their use until alternate supplies come into play.
In practice a bad idea
Not politically palatable for Biden?
