EV investment continues to ramp up, from government subsidies to the production of charging stations across the country. Yet the demand for electric vehicles remains low. One of the reasons for this seems to be affordability, considering inflation and higher interest rates, buying an EV is a costly affair. Recently, EV giant Tesla (TSLA) announced it would cut prices of its slower-selling models to help affordability. This calls into question whether or not the continued investment is worth it. Ronald Jewsikow, Guggenheim Securities Vice President – Automotive Equity Research, and Craig Irwin, ROTH Capital Partners Senior Research Analyst, join Yahoo Finance Live to discuss what investors should consider when buying and investing in EVs. When asked what it would take to see more adoption of EVs, Jewsikow says “It’s a mix of time, macro, and then also the proliferation of technology bringing down costs ultimately, because it is prohibitive for the average buyer today.” Click here to watch more of Yahoo Finance’s special coverage “EVs: The Road Ahead.” For more expert insight and the latest market action, click here to watch this full episode of Yahoo Finance Live.

I own an EV and they only useful for around town commuting. Plus EVs aren’t all that much greener than a gas powered car.
I’m grateful for all the anti EV efforts because that has managed demand and saved me $20,000 on my Tesla. I would hate to see prices of EVs go back to 2022 levels.
Hit 200k today. I’m really grateful for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in June 2022<<
I engage in various prolific investments by compound interest & leveraging and as well operating with an investment professional Mrs Evelyn Mason, so far I’ve attained returns of over $30k last month

Educated! Regardless of how bad it gets on the economy, I still make over $20,000 every single week.
The demand for ev is insane high, nobody wants gas cars. We need more affordable electric vehicles!!!
The demand of EV is super high because people give up food, shelter and medicine to buy expensive EV cars. Who needs food, shelter and medicine anyway? EV car is the basic human need
Why would anyone prefer an EV? Makes absolutely no sense.

We dont want them for so many reasons and lithium mining practices is a big one! And the charging situation is not that reliable and takes to long.
I hope the manufacturers eat this government driven project.
