Nigeria has a new massive Train coach assembly and manufacturing plant at the final stages of construction right now, in Lagos Nigeria…it has all the spare parts and trained manpower needed.
@Interesting Things To Know Actually the plant is in Kajowa, Ogun state, a couple hrs by road from Lagos. It’s a huge manufacturing plant that will employ 5,000 Nigerians, and supply train wagons and coaches to the railway network, and to other African countries.

The problem is that Chinese railroads only lead from raw materials centres to export ports. Nigeria should demand that at least some of the railroads improve connectivity between its cities as well as with those of its neighbours to improve mobility and their own industries. Otherwise it will remain a de facto colony of foreigners.
The Nigerian govt decides where the railroad is to be built.

In short, China has few competitors when it comes to infrastructure projects in Africa. The reason is very simple. If China claims to be the second in the world in terms of infrastructure strength, no country in the world would dare to claim that they are the first.
China loans money to an African country, then it builds this project with a Chineas construction company so most of the money from the loan goes back to China (except for the tax). In the end the African country still has to pay off the loan…so China profits 2x bling-bling. Chinese people masters in business

At present there are over 5,800 Bullet trains connecting over 600 cities in China. And in India, they are still trying to build just one(1) I recently heard, they’ve abandoned this project. Just boasting won’t cut it.
