Crook
I blame the Japanese on that one, they had him and they let him go.
Tens of thousands of people have lost their jobs because of this guy, whether at Nissan or Renault.
He lined his pockets by firing employees.
This is the Carlos Goshn method.
He’s not an engineer, he’s not someone who revolutionized the automotive industry, he’s just a manager, whose only interest has been to make as much money as possible.
Even some of the most respected industry executives have found his attitude indecent.
Stop taking pity on him.
Of course, maybe the president de la republique should manage the french automotive industry, guaranteeing 35 weekly working hours, 55 retiree age and what not.
@WhyGoThere Oh ! Poor little Carlos ! My Hero ! He’s so smart ! He suffered so much ! I love him so much ! He’s a genius ! He saved many lives ! He’s a bless for humanity ! I’ll pray for him ! Such a good soul !
… So ? Happy ? 😆
It is pretty obvious that he was a bit sloppy/took things for granted, and was framed. I do not believe that this man is a criminal.
Slime bag CEO’s making 351-1 ratio of pay as the average worker. In 1965 that number was 21-1. They are all rampant thieves eroding justice and democracy. Should be dragged through the streets by their heels.
In a world full of Katy Turs be a Hadley Gamble
Interview with fugitive
😤 She never mentioned the unreliable CVTs Nissan equipped w?
He tried to avoid tax, maximise his wage and other expenses. Its just normal practice among CEO:s and people who make a lot of money. He spent to much time and effort though on building his private wealth. His quest became almost obsessive. That was his downfall.
Inconsistent application of justice here though…you can’t just have everyone break the rules and then pick who to punish cause you dislike them
And to be honest I would rather have Ghosn do pro bono work than have the government squander his taxed income..skipping the middleman here
@Steve McCormack remember it’s a two way street though..he met demands from the populous and was rewarded.
It’s tax evasion that is illegal. Tax avoidance is legal.
@d toby thats what happens when u become a fugitive. 🙂
HE WAS SENT TO JAPAN TO FUCK THEM OVER, BUT HIS PLAN WAS DISCOVERED AND WAS CAUGHT.
I tought he is going to give interview from a music instrument box
Why are some of you defending this crooked rich person. He sounds just like Amber Heard.
He was allowed to be home, while he was arrested and he is crying about human rights good Lord.
He is not a leader. This man has an ego problem, he knew his days were numbered and wanted his fat stolen bonus.
Why do you think he wanted to merge the two companies? I thought he saved Nissan?
Obviously Nissan was going down since their sales have been plunging for the fact that the cars aren’t what it used to be. Pretty much Renaults with Nissan power trains.
I remember joining MWC conference and Carlos Ghosn speaking about the Leaf being the highest selling EV at the time. He was a strong and outspoken EV believer and supporter even as far back as very early 2010s.
And Nissan completely stopped advancing their EV technology after he was ousted. The 10 years following the first Leaf the underlying technology stayed the same as others leap frog Nissan. What a shame.
SHE is beautiful, we need to date
bad audio quality
He has counted Japan out for good. I wonder if he have tried to negotiate with them since his escape. Something like. I could think of a trial under the condition you give me me the accusation clear and transparent, Given punishment in case of being guilty and a time frame for the trial. In case if a breach from any side is made you face the consequences!
Ghosn, you are a shamless arrogrant person. I don’t see any strong leadership in you and I don’t think you are capable of anything other than being highlevel opportunist.
Good man, didn’t deserve what was, and is being, done to him. Neither Nissan nor Renault deserve our business.
Excellent interview. Thank you.
A Lebanese women interviewing a Lebanese man bias as hell, Ghosn go to french and face the music and let see what happens.
I would love to take that Gamble to a casino in Monaco
I didn’t know Sunny Balwani used be an Nissan Exec! Excellent experience that he brought to Theranos!
…cause one is Lebanese and the other Pakistani?
@JTD472 EXACTLY!!!
Great interview and props to Ghosn for taking everything and still having the will to move forward. He is a strong man for speaking openly about these topics
I wish some of you would show the same compassion for uneducated car robbers.
Unreal. Why give time to such a criminal? He stole massive amounts of cash and engaged in various corrupt acts. These are FACTS. Then he paid criminals to break the laws of Japan, which made him rich. Those criminals are in jail. This criminal is free in a place he can bribe corrupt politicians to avoid justice. He won’t for long. He is going to jail in either France or Japan.
Cowardly lying thief! Jail awaits you in Japan or France or both. Keep bribing Lebanese politicians but that will keep you free only so long.
Fascinating interview he has some really interesting insights into the automobile industry
Lock him up and throw away the key!
This guy needs to do what all Japanese CEO does when they disgrace their name…jump…you know what I mean…Jump Douchebag. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸
Business – corruption etc
I hope, but am sure Carlos has identified the parallel between his treatment by Nissan and that of Octav Botnar, after he challenged their decision to terminate his UK distribution agreement.
So glad to see that Carlos Ghosn is able to still get his message out to share with the world. What happened to him was a crime. Only a man as smart and as shrewd as Ghosn could’ve orchestrated his escape from unjust persecution by the Japanese. Carlos – cheers to you! You accomplished so much and I for one am so glad that you are able to live a good life in Lebanon!
I can’t forgive you for putting all that CVT in Nissan products.
Without him neither the Leaf nor the Zoe would’ve happened. And I very much enjoyed my time in the Zoe, despite the limited range of the early 22kWh version.
He’s the criminal version of Mr. Bean
That would be fun if this guy was to become Lebanon’s president. Never underestimate the power of loosing face.
THIEF!!
She’s pretty. He isn’t.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A criminal middle easterner? Nooooooooo, I’ve never seen that before.
3 Different Governments: Carlos we need to have a international trial based on your actions.
Carlos: No…
The Governments: ok.
😂 rich people get away with anything don’t that lmao 🤣
This guy has no morales, the way he did business with suppliers was awful. Breaking contracts and threatening suppliers. All this and driving Nissan into the ground with third rate products.
Ms Hadley Gamble, most probably, could do a great movie actress.
Speaking on the topic, Carlos Ghosn, no matter how personally greedy he is, he is the one who saved Nissan 20 + years ago. I’ve lived in Japan from 1998 for about 20 years and have been seeing this development from inside. And comments about Japanese justice system are mostly true. Once you are deteriorating from category of “obedient”, then punishments could be really stiff.
Yup…She is selective. Watch her interview with other Middle East leaders especially those who are not in tune with the West.
he and his right hand man (who he deserted in japan and is facing consequences there) had the intention all along to stiff japan. he was going to do it and then piss off. except he got reprimanded for something he thought he’d get away with. he still left anyway. his face is a shifty face.
people have got to understand that elitists – which he is a part of – do all sorts of things with shifting and hiding company money because they know all the loopholes. he went too far though and that’s probably what got him caught. i’m pretty sure he was doing the same things in western countries too but never to this extent. his time was up. i like when crooks get caught in the end. he needs to be held accountable which i think they already seized his properties in brazil that he bought illegally with company money.
Le Cost Killer
Damn, put on the airco!! ! Look at his smelly armpits!
Certain, he allowed power to corrupt his mind.
You know about Carlson Nissan best engineer
Awesome interview. I will have to study his comments. Unicity of command and AI not the end of humanity.
The french ditched him in the first place and that is the main reason this guy finds himself in this situation. The price you pay as an outsider upsetting the existing order.
The Man deserves credit …escaping in a box, merging japanese with french companies and now enjoying life in Lebanon.
Enjoying Lebanon lol
Enjoying hahaha
Top G.
This guy looks like charlie chan in the old hollywood movie
Amazing interview, great job from the journalist !
Mr Ghosn is a great corporate leader, proved himself several times, for the french what a shame… I mean there is different ways to assess the down trend of a country and imo the silence of the french is a proof that France is no longer the France of the past… Full of incompetence at high positions..
I hope to see this guy again in business even if it seems impossible he surpassed our expectations many times…so way not
I really like the interviewer
He embezzled massive amounts of money and was prosecuted for it, then ran to escape the punishment. And now he’s sitting there telling lies .
Excellent Interviewer , She is very Intellingent
Did not know that Mischa Tate is working part time as a journalist.
Soon as you think Carlos Gone, he back.
She did not roll her eyes, leaked her lips or moved her legs in the air. Is it because, unlike Mr Putin, Mr Ghosn is out of power and not worth it?
He is guilty and he is a thug every one or most of the world knows.
ghosn is a ghost. its insane how he escaped.
still, he shouldnt have done it. the punishment for white collar crimes is insignificant and japan has one of the nicest prison systems in the world. he just made it a lot worse by escaping.
Fabulous interview! Keeping fighting Carlos 🙂 – We need more of these business leaders!
He is an scapegoat.
He still at large hahaha. He violated Japanese law not French law.
The journalist lost her plot. He said what he did free of complicated questions.
Exactly! She only uses ambush journalism for those who disagree with her point of view. Probably, Ghosn was in her good book!
What a grest interview. Carlos is a genius and clearly states his point. The quality of the journalist also helped a lot to pass a clear message.
Carlos Ghosn and Greg Kelly are the reason highly educated European and American executive stay away from leadership role in Japan. In this case when you have an genius executive going after the #1 Toyota and the #2 Honda Auto industry in Japan… Shame on France for not fighting for Carlos!
criminal
Great interview 👏🏻
“every arse hole can become a boss” said by me
Ms Hadley Gamble as usual ensures that she inputs her own narratives! Very biased and selective interviewer! Typical, she points out French working with the Chinese government is total lunacy on Greg Kelly matter! You are supposed to stick with fact and truth, not political correctness!!! Watch her interview with other Middle East leaders especially those who are not in tune with the West. WOW! She would be wagging her finger and very disrespectful. Obviously, Ghosn is a Maverick CEO and very unfortunate that he is in this situation. Nevertheless, as an interviewer, she could ask more hard questions. It seems like 2 old buddies having a chat! Hadley Gamble ain’t “Kelly Evans” material!
Really Great Interview – There is some real life advice there in this interview. Thanks !!
You better not get caught on the japanese “justice” system. They make you into a Kamikaze.
I heard japanese atrocities during the WWII made the Nazis look beginners.
Wow. It took Ghosn just minutes to succinctly and compellingly discredit the avalanche of dubious and biased charges.
(No wonder he terrifies the horribly rigged “judicial” system in Japan and craven apparatchiks in France.)
The Japanese legal system is completely bizarre. I don’t blame this guy at all for dodging it.
This thug will get justice soon. Japan won’t let this one go.
“I diluted Nissan’s reputation in pursuit of short term cheap profits. The company was saved but all I did was kick the can down the road.” -Ghosn
Ghosn led the company for almost two decades. There was nothing “short term” about this.
The Can That He Kicked Was NASSAR’ car which doesn’t compare to SAAB corporations his truthful career beginnings * S.A.A.B *
African Union is ready to host great Carlos goshn because whole of Africa doesn’t have one car maker like him he will be a great asset to African dream of making a beautiful African car
I have just watched 1:31 minutes of this and I already think…. Never step to the mainstream media… they will kill you…. Just Martin Bashir did with Michael Jackson. ( (now I am going to wacht the rest)
Nissan once built Hq cars ….. similar to ……maybe Toyota, honda Subaru..(maybe not ) ..
Then they started using cheap stuff
Japan is a racist nation. Nissan was scared that it would become a French company so they targeted Ghosn. Without him, Renault would be crippled to gobble up Nissan- a 1930’s Japanese company
He is famous and rich and still got framed and involved in a plot like this. Imagine if just a simple regular guy was used as a scapegoat for a bunch of greedy executives/politicians. He would never be able to get out of it. And I’m sure it has happened many times.
Really not a good interview, not much information with regard to the accusation he is facing. Most of the questions that were asked, had been asked some 10 years ago which have been posted on YouTube.
Where is he hiding?
Carlos Ghosn is much happier than Julian Assange.💃
He looks like a criminal…
Ghosen ! Introduced EV within Nissan automobile manufacturing ! Japanese Corporation Didn’t Want To Sacrifice Fiscal Currency In 2000 for Nissan Electric Car Production * Yet South Africa SATURN corporate official were well prepared for exiting the USA automobile manufacturing market * with all material resources here is where confusion begans in Ghosen vs Nissan Legal Case * Is LEAF ‘ s A GHOSEN brand
It’s more that meets the eye in what he says. When CEO of Renault it’s true their profit increases by about 60% but not by being better but rather by laying off employees.
The other thing he did was he paid the dealers such big bonuses that the dealers were buying the cars themselves without selling any.
It’s not that rosy with this guy and maybe the Japanese have realized that.
Great man
Well Japan lost another talent
A great interview. Both of them are outstanding and Carlos speaks to the heart.
21:00 to 21:16
Here you go Elon, Carlos just told you that you are a d|_|mb4$$… and I think he is right…
shit interview
Corrupt MF! 8====D
Scammer and fugitive 😂😂😂😂
hes a con artist and thief ! lol ….. i hope he gets arrested soon.
Everyday this man is not governing or managing something is a waste of his life and a waste to the world. All because of envy from some office politics.
The most clever man on the planet
