U.S. Marshals revealed that the murder suspect in the death of an elite cyclist was using multiple aliases, had multiple passports, and even a receipt for plastic surgery. NBC News’ Sam Brock has the latest details on her attempt to flee to Costa Rica.

Kaitlin Armstrong flew to New York because her sister lives there. She used her sister’s passport to escape law enforcement in the USA and fly to Costa Rica. As soon as she landed, she got plastic surgery to change her appearance, nose job, cut hair, dye hair, etc. She may have gotten away with it if it weren’t for the neighbors security camera which showed her car at the scene of the crime.

Crazy thing about this is she seems fairly intelligent, I mean if she was able to plan all this stuff to escape tells me she’s capable of clear, logical thought and planning. So she clearly knew this action was going to change her life forever and did it anyway. All over a guy that given the fact had moved on, wasn’t in love with you anymore (or ever) anyway? If you’re capable of all that logical thought to commit murder and flee, I don’t know how you deduce it is worth it over something so pointless.

Someone who knew her told the police she was in a rage since January over the victim’s relationship with her boyfriend. I’ve been very angry and hurt to the point that I thought about revenge (never murder) and wanted those who did ne wrong to feel the same pain but I never followed through.
I think the anger, hurt and resentment festered so much in her and the straw that broke the camel’s back was seeing them go on a date behind her back.
She should have just left them alone and gone to Costa Rica as she did, she might have been a much happier person and best of all, free!
