The National Water Commission of Mexico has formally declared a state of emergency due to a worsening drought as officials begin to clamp down on usage. NBC News’ Erin McLaughlin reports on how residents are only allowed to use water for three hours a day, a desperate move in the midst of extreme heat.

Let’s see…if the northern states have all dammed up their rain water supply…and the mids are taking resources from both the north and the south, the south won’t have anything down stream…how is has this not already been addressed? Look at the damming projects, look at the mountain resorts..the skiing year round…the half a million pools and the 24 hr air conditioners. We don’t want a pipeline and can’t use reverse osmosis good enough…plus the infrastructure of these areas have been lagging, and now advance desertification…what about the water from air meshing?
