U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson resigned Thursday, bringing an acrimonious end to a nearly three-year premiership that has been beset by controversy and scandal.
The announcement comes as the wave of resignations from Johnson’s government and party since Tuesday evening approached 60, with one Conservative Party member after another publicly voicing their lack of confidence in the prime minister.

@David DeStefanis I think given the tone of the speech, and his other digs at colleagues a court, whether by jury or magistrate would be likely to accept the argument that he was equating his party’s actions to those of herding animals. By association, and in light of his contempt of his party’s behaviour, I think a skilled lawyer could push the envelope further to make a stronger assertion about what his party is full of.
Guaranteed, he will not remain in politics after this, because he doesn’t actually care.
