A police report reveals 59-year-old Debbie Collier’s body was found in a wooded area in north Georgia. Collier’s daughter told police the day her mother went missing, she sent nearly $2,400 through Venmo, with a message saying, “they are not going to let me go, love you.” WXIA’s TKTK reports.

The entire story doesn’t add up. Daughter told police mom could barely walk but mom pushing a rented SUV… mom never had Venmo prior to death but knew how to send daughter money and said “They”…and why does your daughter that you are close to not know where the spare key is?

mothers love is unconditional…..her daughter was an addict. venmo was only used to send daughter money… she also had a son? why didn’t she mention him in the venmo message?? i think Debbie had finally put her foot down to amanda and it didn’t go so well. i hope justice is served. C’mon people, let’s use our heads- there is no way that she sent that venmo message. The suspect is the daughter. 1st, A murderer would not want a venmo sent directly to an account that leads to them, regardless of who’s name the account is in, it would still be easily traced to whoever did this. 2nd, in the time it would take to venmo someone, you could have dialed 911 or taken a photo, or called/texted instead. She was near a freeway, so any of those things would have quickly pinged a location, MUCH quicker then sending a venmo! 3rd, If she was being robbed and forced to venmo money to the murderer, she would likely be at gun point and under severe pressure while being monitored, all they would need her to do is unlock her phone and unlock her venmo account, she would lose all control of the phone at that point due to the suspect being highly alert and the perp would be sending the money to themselves, which again, is a highly unlikely way that a murderer would retrieve money from their victim. 4th, If that was truly her last message, it would have implied that the daughter knows who “they” are, otherwise the message would make no sense and any mother would know that. So the daughter would then have to have a more solid answer to give to law enforcement about the message- like perhaps, yes my mom was taken away by strange men and she later venmoed me money saying “they” were not going to let her go. But the daughter doesn’t have a solid alibi as to who “they” are- she didn’t think that far ahead and instead thought playing dumb would be a better idea, but law enforcement knows it’s highly unlikely that a mom would send a vague message referencing “them” instead of clearly stating “I’ve been kidnapped, I’m being robbed” etc. This was a weak attempt by the daughter to cover up her Moms murder and also clear her debit account. I’m sure law enforcement has caught into this quickly and the daughter is going to be under the microscope.

The daughter has a history of arrests and her current boyfriend as well. They also have domestic violence issues. It would seem odd for a kidnapper to force a captive to send a Venmo that is linked to you or someone you know. And the key in the flower pot is bizarre. Why would she need that? Just ask her father. But why would the Mom think of giving her access to the house, and why does she not have access anyway? This does not seem right.
