Tennis star Roger Federer spoke to CNBC’s Tania Bryer ahead of The Laver Cup where he will play his last professional match.
Roger will always be the greatest of all time. Elegant, versatile, exciting, trick shots, unpredictable. The complete tennis player.
Novak Djokovic has entered the chat
True.. GOAT!!!
@MusicMan nadal has entered the chat
he is NOT, both nadal and djoker passed him, he is 3rd best, but he is most popular tennis player, i agree
also, Djoker is more completed than Fed, dont forgot, DJoker beat Fed at W final 3 times, buddy, 3 times
this guy redefined tennis in a way that no one can replicate it ! HE is TENNIS ! probably the only player who could make people scream and jump out of their seats when he played some of the best shots ever in the biggest stages on a tennis court.
God bless,Maestro!take extra care but keep going!love you😘💖
Federer is the GOAT, and I say this as a Serbian! We’ll miss you King!!!
I am surprised that he didn’t say winning the French Open in 2009 to complete a Career Grand Slam
Roger can still compete . He just needs to stand further back to return serve . Stop standing right at baseline roger , u can’t react to the ball that fast anymore
It doesnt work like that 😂😂
“With Andy” 😄😄😄
I see Roger adopting the 80s sleeves up style
He’s been asked these same questions at least 3 times this week
that’s one creepy interviewer
Next steps are watching Djokovic break every record in tennis lol…
He does not look so worried about it,especially because most people believe that he is the best ever regardless of records
@Fernando Piva You can’t be the best ever based on how people feel or style…..Stats/records matter in tennis.
@S J Stats/records matter to those who care about stats/records. That’s it. Eventually all records and stats will be surpassed anyway, that’s a fact. The GOAT debate is endless. Numbers will never fully explain everything.
He already has beaten majority of his records..
We are so proud of you, Roger!!! We’ll miss you so much!!! 😢😭❤️🥲👏🎾🐐❤️
ROOOOOOOGEEEEERRRR
You are GOD✝️GIVEN talent, we witnessed 24 years, UNMATCHED to anyone that has played this beautiful sport of 🎾 thanks for EVERYTHING you did on & off the court luckily we have YouTube
We wish you all the best in your coming life, health & family ❤are most important things given to us Take care 😢
When they ask 2 questions at a time, the person responding should answer them in the SAME order they were asked, otherwise they might forget to answer the first question.
Will miss you forever…
A part of me died when I heard Roger is retiring. Was a die hard fan since his first Wimbledon in 2003.
3rd best player of all time
For most part of their careers Rafa and Novak were trying to catch up with Roger in terms of slams/events….
Testimony of his greatness….
Roger is was and would always be Tennis 🎾
Cool interview …
Well done Roger, you will be missed. You made the game worth watching. What a beautiful family you have
Why no one will talk about why roger annonced his retirement right after the us open, he wants all the attention for him and none for alcaraz
Roger Federer and Bjorn Borg are the two best men tennis players of all time. And also the two most likable because of their respect for the game, their opponents and tennis fans.
I hope he loses the senate race against Dr Oz
Federer was the best of all time. He’s 5 years older than Novak and Rafa so he was at a disadvantage for a good part of his career. He reached the record slam number over Sampras pretty early on as well. He began beating Rafa regularly the last several times they played. He lost 2 or 3 slam finals that went down to the last point and could have gone either way. And if Fed didn’t get injured he might have another 2-4 titles.
