Why was a small child allowed to play outside in bear country with a wheelchair-bound grandparent as the legal guardian? Poor bear didn’t deserve to die. The bear was killed, not euthanized.
They said it’s rare for a black bears to attack people. My guess the grandparents have had there grandkids play in there yard for years without any problems with bears attacking anyone. From the sounds of it the grandparents wasn’t letting the kid play and wondering around woods he was playing in the lawn right off the front porch.
What a hero and great rescue.
*The bear was probably a Trump supporter!*
@Melanie A Yeah, for the Lethal Injection.
@robert justus Oh , such a racist comment.
@bphilbac No it’s not ,Most Blacks are Democrats.
@robert justus I’m black and I’m not a democrat
@bphilbac But most are.
The boy is more important then the bear
Truth!
250 lbs Bear I hope someone donates time processing that Bear and sends the meat to a Homeless Shelter. That Bear can make a lot of Meals for the Homeless.
Your leg should have been his meal ticket . He can bring his bear wife an watch a movie at the nearest cinema.
Are you serious? YOU eat it.
@Lolo Yo act like that’s a weird thng to do hahah.
How about relocate the bear.
@Cydp Palley You can’t relocate a dangerous wild animal like that. Once they lose their fear of humans it’s a wrap. Now they look at you as a easy food source, not good.
I once wrote about the fact that the United States plans to test in India an improved version of the 2021 virus that they tested in China (we all know this disease because masks still have to be worn). So in the USA they brought out a stronger version of this virus, which is more contagious and 80% fatal. (Boston University lab)
It is planned to deliver infected rodents through the Sultanate of Oman to Iran and through Iran further to Pakistan and India, the final destination, part of the rodents will be released in Oman and Iran, the main part will be released in Pakistan on the border with India. The idea is to test it on a large crowd of people in low sanitary conditions. Most likely before the end of 2022, but infection was planned for 2023.
This is not the first time the United States has used biological vectors to spread man-made diseases. So the Monkeys were used to spread the “acquired immunodeficiency syndrome” in Vietnam, it was planned to lower the natural immunity of the Vietnamese and created AIDS, but the United States could not control its spread and became infected and spread it. In the laboratories of Ukraine, US laboratories worked with wild ducks and ticks to spread the infection of those crossed with polio and tuberculosis in the post-Soviet space.
In Africa, the United States created and infected the local population with Tuberculosis, Ebola hemorrhagic fever and Marburg hemorrhagic fever. And openly tested the drug on the population. the World Health Organization, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, the Central Emergency Response Fund, and the Red Cross. These organizations were used for distribution in Africa, and then in free public aid, during which experiments were carried out on the population and new untried vaccines were tested, from which they died no less than from the diseases themselves.
Also in Ukraine, Moldova and Poland there are still biolaboratories that conduct experiments on the spread of viruses in the European zone.
We buy popcorn and wait for the performances. 1
Of course they had to make sure they identified the bear’s race…a “black bear”…not be confused with a Caucasian bear of course lol
The bear was black probably democrat, deserves to die..
@ContraDaTaxMan It was, the irony is that we only have BLACK and BROWN bears in the US and they’re constantly getting killed for ‘being where they don’t belong.’ Coincidence?
Actually, despite being a joke, from an anthropological and linguistic perspective the names of things *do* impact how we perceive and interact with them.
@Dylan Brewer MAGA Now baby!!!
@ContraDaTaxMan Fantastic joke! Hilarious! MAGA for All!!!
@JazzFan74 You forgot Polar.
Could be wrong, but if the kid only had minor injuries, the bear wasn’t being serious.
Why was the bear euthanized? It’s not the bear’s fault that humans invaded its environment and then spread food everywhere like a free buffet. The real question is what were the humans doing to elicit this kind of response from a black bear- black bears very rarely attack, unlike their brown/grizzly cousins. Fix the human behavior. Bears are just being bears.
There is no way to educate this bear to undo associating humans with food. Bears are very tenacious and this one will come back for the boy 100%.
Encroaching on bear habitat means they need to search harder for food. The same thing is happening with the sharks. Humans are to blame… again
Incorrect. Human encroachment (and idiotic habit of feeding bears) is affording them easy food sources. which, in turn, brings them to your house in search of any food source. Did you not understand what the woman said in the video? In the end, it’s Humans bringing this on themselves with every acre of habitat they destroy.
Another asinine comment by someone who has no clue.
How ridiculous. It’s not encroachment. Humans are as natural to earth as bears are. It’s also our environment… unless you’re from Mars, cause the rest of us aren’t. Maybe you just feel out of place. You seem to hate your own kind…. Now that’s not natural.
I love Bears and have had several of them pass through my yard without incidence but this bear became dangerous and the officials did what they had to do. The little boy was PLAYING in his Grandpa’s YARD, he was not off “invading” the Bear’s space or doing anything destructive to the Bear. The bear attacked him biting him in the foot and the grandfather was striking the bear to make him stop, the bear retreated and then came back a second time getting a hold of the boy’s leg and attempted dragging him, he was definitely looking to make a meal out of the boy. That’s when the neighbor helped and the bear stopped and left, but even after they brought the boy into the home the grandfather said the bear returned, pawing at the screen door. It’s sad they killed the bear but it was in human hunting mode and had to be done.
THANK YOU 💞💞 for stopping me from going on a rant…
You explained it PERFECTLY 🥰
Unless the bear was rabid that story is far from accurate. Please find one example of a black bear in ” human hunting mood”. I’ve been around alot of bears and that’s nonsense
@cristo well the bear didn’t leave and wanted to finish the job. But I guess that’s not human hunting mood because you won’t admit you’re wrong.
@T-Fox you obviously know nothing about bears and their behavior. And obviously couldn’t find any examples of it. If you could read you would’ve learned there are other similar incidents and they all revolve around people doing dumb sht like feeding the bear. Funny how people always leave out that part
@cristo hahaha bro you’re fighting the facts not me, you damned fool. And I did find an example IN THIS VERY STORY YOU COMPLETE MUPPET!
Let the bear eat him alive! 😈😂👍
This is why bears should be domesticated, so we can breed the aggression out of them.
His property??? No the bears property.
True hero!
Poor bear.
Unbearable to watch
Lol! Thats a good one
@Time W Tell Dont get me started on the bare necessities 🐻🎶🎶
This may be news to some of you, but Humans have been encroaching on their woods for decades. Not much space remaining in that particular section of the state’s bear & coyote habitat at this point. Just the way it is. Destroying habitat for housing is merely part of the equation in understanding what we Humans have done to the planet in general. And the animal. rightly or wrongly, always gets the blame.
Like coyotes black bears are thriving around human settlements because of all the trash and food they find to eat around humans. Black bear populations in the US are exploding and Americans need to learn to live responsibly with the black bear which means no direct or indirect feeding. A bear would have to eat 5,000 acorns to get the equivalent calories of one bowl of dog food it can find left outside on someone’s porch.
lmao i love how they say its not normal for a bear to want to eat human. I’ve seen deer and horses eat birds..
I had bears that would wonder into the yard time to time in northern wisc. I always had a BAR 7mm mag loaded near the door in case ever needed.
ooOOOOOooOOOOOOoooo change of story? The grandpa claimed he solo’d the bear himself according to another interview. I found his story over exaggerated. Highly doubtful a bear will be scared of someone in a wheelchair.
Hey boo boo how about a picnic basket?? Nah let just eat that fat pig standing on two legs🤣😂
Yum yum 😋 let’s fee the bears our bratty kids
Then you have irresponsible people deliberately “loophole feeding”(guising as something unintentional) bears and other wild critters to make cute videos. Encourages the animals to lose fear of people and makes it more likely for things like that to happen to others that are/aren’t doing those things.
You don’t have to feed bears to get mauled by a bear. You just have to have a neighbor that feeds bears.
@Wasidana Tsali yup. Tell that to the know it alls that keep buddying up to them so they can have cute videos on YouTube, TikTok, etc
In those areas and where we live in western Mass.. the bear population goes up,,, the food supply goes down,,,and all this while the habitat is shrinking….
More of this coming. Liberals can’t manage wildlife. Here comes the wolves
10 yr old. Caretaker in a wheelchair.
Even the bear could see this family was vulnerable.
There are bears in the neighborhood. Somebody has to think ahead.
We need to wipe out those dangerous animals
Why does the D.E.E.P. have firearms?
Thank God that guy was there! You can see he’s still shaking from it all, but God bless him for helping to rescue that boy and his grandfather from a bear attack.
Don’t feed wild animals you morons.
Thank you for your bravery. Thank all things good this baby is alive. You deserve a thank you fund.
Feel very sad for both of them 😿
At age 10 a bear crushed in the tent my sister and I were in and had his foot on my sisters head…we counted quietly to 3 and then screamed, “DAD” at the top of our lungs and it scared that bear so badly it jumped into the air and went crashing off through the forest. I can’t imagine how that kid felt or his WC bound grandparent felt until the hero arrived on scene to show that bear who the apex predator is round here!
You all are heroes, good job!!
Thank goodness that man was there, and ran toward the danger. We can’t seem to convince people to not feed the wildlife. You rarely hear of an attack like this, but with less natural food, and less wild acreage these encounters will only increase.

Dear NBC News and YouTube Comments Public:
OPINION: Bear and Dog Attacks are on the rise globally, and I believe it’s all the same pandemic that is causing it.
I believe the reason why bear attacks and dog attacks are both happening in record numbers globally during 2022 is because of the pandemic. If we were to regard Coronavirus and Lyssavirus as symbiotic viruses within their natural host being bats, the Coronavirus being basically a bloodstream virus that quickly penetrates the blood-brain barrier to exit out the nose and mouth, the Lyssavirus being basically a nervous system virus that slowly penetrates the blood-brain barrier to exit out the nose and mouth, that the requiring modification of the infected host brain is the core issue to discuss.
As we all know, the Long COVID effects of brain fog and loss of smell and taste in humans is often temporary but not always, versus the recurring infection as the virus rapidly variates to defeat antibodies thereby taxing the immune system of its defensive capabilities. Research hasn’t been done very easily on how animals are affected because we have basically no way of measuring their degrees of cognitive impairment, but in domestic animals and zoo animals we have inferred much. Contrary to that, the effects of Lyssavirus are very well research on animals because it’s one of the scariest viruses that mother nature has in her arsenal, causing aggression and confusion and hydrophobia.
This is where a lightbulb moment should click-in to scientists, because those of the human populations which are anti-vaccine are thereby the least protected ergo the most infected and recurring infected, the level of chronic cognitive impairment must inevitably sustain its expressions, which from the human perspective looks like little more than party politics and voter stupidity. One of these expressions in particular is mask-lessness and the need to close social distancing & travel restrictions, all are such things which procures face-to-face proximity akin to aggression and hydrophobia. Whether it be in a bat colony in China, a herd of deer in Sri Lanka, a pack of dogs in India, backyard bears in America, or protestors in Capitols or Parliaments, the animal nature of a confused and aggressive host who is infected at the nose and mouth seeks to obey the virus in its promulgation of symbiotic transmission.
I believe this is why in Sri Lanka and India the potency of the Rabies Lyssavirus vaccine has expired in dogs and humans, as the immune system from unvaccinated never-ending Coronavirus infections is so taxing that a weakened antibody response has trained the Rabies Lyssavirus to evade immunity, to eventually borrow short-distance face-to-face airborne transmission from its symbiotic ally, hence whole herds of Coronavirus-reservoir deer can be wiped out without so much as a publicly proven rabies bite mark!!! In America and much elsewhere of the world, we’re watching “healthy” bears and dogs attack people to death in record number cases unseen before, as foxes, raccoons and bats with rabies are in surge requiring massive airdrop edible vaccine campaigns. In my opinion, there’s basically no cognitive difference between a predatory bear attack and a territorial dog pack attack on humans, having the same nature of cognitive impairment as a partisan protestor who rips off masks and roars up nonsense, perhaps even some off-the-chain arrests by law enforcement, the Coronavirus has prepared the Lyssavirus to receive its hosts.
I strongly predict that we are a mere handful of months away from a “Coronavirus + Lyssavirus” pandemic, as once again this Fall of 2022 is showing that all Coronavirus vaccines are evaded by new Coronavirus variants in varying degrees, even if the symptomatic coughing and sneezing is suppressed, the exhalation vapor still carries the airborne microparticles which inevitably sneaks its way past the blood-brain barrier to cause further cognitive degradation, undetected like a frog sitting in a pot of slowly boiling water. Eventually, a confused and hyper-social human population is going to outbreak with a Lyssavirus that won’t be diagnosed as such by a doctor who isn’t looking for it, maybe not even be capable of comprehending it, and then for all intents and purposes we’ll have a genuine Zombie Outbreak on our hands, no joke!
It’s no surprise that right now in Fall of 2022 that there’s a Bear Problem the likes of which we haven’t seen before in western society, and that’s because as boars fight for sows they’re roaring at and biting each other with their latest Coronavirus variants driving-up a level of aggression unseen before in their species, and then they’re going to hibernate as the virus cognitively damages them further in their sleep. Sleeping with them in some dens will be bats, with or without Lyssavirus, with or without Rabies Lyssavirus, and then come spring we’re going to probably see a “Zombie Bear” going nuts in some random American or Canadian or other nation’s town, and “the experts” are going to feign absolute ignorance as to how or why, probably blaming it on a raccoon.
Those same bats in Spring 2023, they’re going to fly-out everywhere, and they’ll bite what they’ll bite, as most wildlife will have a random level of Coronavirus infection exhaustion, and so we’re likely to see whole populations of herbivores and omnivores and carnivores throughout the animal kingdom proceeding to wild animal attacks across much of humanity. We’re going to have to genetically reset the animal kingdom after this because this will basically be the “Mammal Extinction Event”? The planet needs a sufficiently educated human survivor population to access the frozen DNA samples we’ve got stored in various places and be able to use them, which is why governments right now need to prepare vaccine companies to make human-grade edible rabies vaccines like they’re already doing for raccoons in America at the moment. It needs to be a globally distributed sugar cookie, itself super-easy to manufacture and distribute.
Any delay of this is conspiracy of willful ignorance by government. I’ve already brought this issue up with the Canadian Federal Minister of Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada.
– Daniel Nicolas Martin, Windsor Ontario Canada, October 18 of 2022.
It would also be helpful if local Connecticut news stations stopped showing “cute” videos of bears swimming in people’s pools, etc. I’ve encountered several bears who have clearly lost their fear of humans. And this is not the first attack on a person (and dogs) here in Connecticut.
*they could’ve relocated the bear instead of killing it*
Where in Connecticut?
Middle
What a scary situation, So glad the lil fella will be ok,…. My gosh certainly could hv bn much worse.
Which part of Connecticut
Litchfield.
@D Glock thanks. I used to spend time in Stamford and Fairfield but wasn’t sure how Litchfield was or that there were bears there.
@Perihan Bozkurt No prob. But yeah, Litchfield is way out West of Connecticut, where people practically live in the middle of the woods. I used to make deliveries out there. So this news was not too surprising to me.
Furthermore, Simsbury, from what I’ve personally seen and heard for myself, is filled with bears.
@D Glock thanks, that’s good to know. I feel sorry for the bears 🐻 as we are living in their natural habitat.
Talk about a good neighbor….
Good job dude. You saved a boys life. He was going to be lunch
It’s fall and bears are trying to fatten up for winter hibernation. Didn’t know Connecticut had bears?
I love bears but yeah when bulls walk up looking like they are looking for trouble they are probably looking for trouble… Sux it all use to the bears habitat now it’s humans habitat… And this report is very wrong a black bear will attack a human over anything lol usually just false charge but if u don’t back off they will fight you
Where in Connecticut is this?
Morris , Connecticut
So far, this is the 3rd black bear attack within the last 2 days.
Am I the ONLY parent left that uses common sense…
This poor child paid the price for bad parenting from grandparents and parents…
Now a bear loses his life because grown people are stupid… Humans are the cause of ALL that is bad….
They’ve had no choice (for survival) as we continue to encroach centuries old hunting grounds for all wildlife. Glad all are safe but we did it to ourselves.
What a ridiculous comment. Humans have also lived and hunted on earth for hundreds and thousands of years. It’s not encroachment. It’s a shared environment, as all living creatures share earth.
Thank you Lord for this man for helping this little boy I’m so glad that his ok and his grandpa🤩😍🥰
God Bless this neighbor!
I had one in my yard last night. Lucky I scared him away.
People intentionally feed bears like they are pets. Don’t feed them and they’ll pretty much stay away from humans.
We eat young animals why can’t they eat young kids🤣
Heros taught that bear what sup
“Lose fear of people” that because of bunch of former and current college kids voted no hunting bears because animal(bear) is more important than human.
