The strike early Tuesday ignited an oil reservoir.
Russia’s defence ministry accused Ukraine of two attacks on Monday.
Moscow says three servicemen were killed.
Kyiv is yet to comment on the strikes.

Erratic Zelenskyy burns through his reserves at a lightening speed playing into the Russians hands. In Bakmut Ukraine lost high ground in the area and there is a high risk of encirclement. According to Ukrainian sources Russians have overwhelming advantage in artillery 1:9 on this front. Not really though. When it becomes an all out war that threatens the motherland the support for it will likely increase and conventional warfare methods may be used as in Carpet bombing and also full mobilization is in the balance.
After months almost a years of war between the two countries the Russian public seem to longer have a huge majority in favour of the war. The approval rate which was 80% could have dropped to below 60% meaning there is hope for a negotiation which is somewhat acceptable for both sides. Or at very least no increase of intensity which gives the Ukrainians the upper hand at the moment due to overwhelming numbers compared to the Russian numbers. This could switch any moment and a full out war meaning bombers and much more troops so on pulled into action would obviously give Russia the upler hand. Simply Ukraine cannot match it even with NATO support. No matter how well they do now.
So striking mainland Russia definitely requires second thought

Still there is plenty trying to avoid conscription and hiding the authorities to prevent being send straight to yhe frontline. I know because my wifes family is from Kharkiv.
In Russia i would think it will be no different the only difference is there is more equipment (vehicles and so on) due to their inheritance of the USSR also there is 3.5 times more people. Just because now its not total war doesnt mean that they cannot do so.. in a ww2 style war where everything is a target no exceptions the Russians can still completely decimate Ukraine and leave nothing.

Russia guaranteed Ukranian sovereignty if it gave up its nuclear arsenal, it did but of course the Russians had lied and broke the agreement. However, it seems that, Ukraine kept its old nuclear capable drones, these are now re-purposed with other non-nuclear warheads and new navigation systems etc.. The other theory is that they are old, re-purposed, Soviet target drones.
It would be interesting if Ukraine developed a drone capable of flying 2500km (?), these could reach Iran and give payback for the Iranian murder of Ukranian men, women and children. I mean at least ten Iranian drone operators have died on Ukraine, Ukrainecwants them very badly.

Attacking the air bases makes sense but surely hitting Russia’s infrastructure will one cause greater alarm to the Russian people therefore causing descent two no power water gas etc will cause a delay to Putins military conveyor as he will need to repair and appease the general population also if the sanctions are really bitting the Russian economy etc then the Kremlin will need to transfer funds from the war in Ukraine to the internal economy or have I missed something?
