FIFA president Gianni Infantino has hailed the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar as the ‘best ever’, saying there are no longer ‘small teams’ and ‘big teams’.
Infantino says the level at the tournament is ‘very equal’ after an opening phase that featured some major upsets.
Former champions Argentina, Spain, Germany and Brazil all suffered shock group-stage losses.
Teams from Africa, Asia and North America have also been represented in the final 16 along with traditional powerhouses South America and Europe.

They declared regular mosque as Museums for everyone to understand the islamic culture. For many this was new for them to have a direct understanding of islam and its culture.
