Never trust cops
NBC now that youve been exposed for suppressing important news you should leave real news to professional news outlets. Youre a big part on the division in the country, the corp news media we have been warned about and America knows what you are. Leave real news to legit news channels.
Sad incident but Sean made the choice. Its hard to save a drowning adult without the safety equipment, plus how cold was the water?
Sue the cops cause the guy made a stupid decision. Oh well.
I saw 2 teenagers jump in huge ocean swells to save a girl who was drowning. You dont need training to be a hero you need action
Too bad he is not a young female
That’s not accurate. You have no idea what you are talking about.
If I can’t swim myself, the water’s freezing cold, AND some druggie voluntarily jumps into the water, you BEST BELIEVE I am NOT gonna be a “hero” that day.
Who willingly jumped in the water??????
If a man with barley any clothes couldn’t swim when he went out far how do you think an officer with another 40+ lbs of duty gear suppose to swim out there? He went out there, no one forced him.
I get what u saying but if someone is drowning they should have helped because they are trained for emergencies
@Brew Grew WRONG!
Supreme Court – Castle Rock vs Gonzales 2005
PD has no duty to save you.
Many municipal and state police officers do take oaths to protect and assist citizens who may be in danger. From the PA State Police.
“ It is also my duty to be of service to anyone who may be in danger or distress, and at all times so conduct myself that the honor of the force may be upheld.”
@Brew Grew whether they are required to help or not is irrelevant in this situation. There was no equipment to help. The boats were too far away. They were too far from shore. Saving a drowning victim in this situation is just going to get everyone involved killed. People need to accept that not everything is the fault of the police. There is a lot to blame them for. Like Uvaldi. But this isn’t one of them.
the police wear so much gear they can’t just jump in the water and also what if they can’t swim?
Did the cops call for water support? Unclear how the cops are not indicted for homicide.
Homicide? WTF?!? How can you be so ignorant. The man literally crossed the boundary, asked if he was free to go and said I’m going for a swim in waters he was told he could not swim in. Just another dumb MFer who won the darwin award because his parents, the media, and people like you have convinced him to be afraid of the police. YOU ARE MORE TO BLAME.THAN THESE TWO COPS.
…what are you talking about? He jumped in. There was nothing they could do once he jumped.
yes they should charge the water for homicide, i agree
Why should a cop risk their lives by jumping in the water when a criminal tries to run away?
My cousin was not a criminal. He was a loving hardworking family man
@Brew Grew Sure but can you say what he did was smart? Sad he died but the police are not at fault for his poor decisions.
👆 – NEW ADULТ DАТING CHAT FREE 😜😘a🥰
I believe that homeless people deserve our help and we shouldn’t treat them like animals. Ironically, that man reacted exactly like a panicked deer.
@Simulation L they escalated the situation & tried searching for warrants – they were called on a suspected domestic violence call that turned out not to be the case…
What was the reason to get his identity again? His homeless friend said he was terrified of going back to jail. That’s why he jumped in the water. Have you, or do you know anyone who is poor, perhaps mentally ill and been through the system? Perhaps then you would understand why he jumped in the water
But panicked deers don’t jump into the water if they know they can’t swim 😂🤣😂🤣
@Your Mom if they were being chased by a predator, sure they would
@Lisa Nelson its good this happened a great solution to overpopulation in our world lets get rid of the misfits.
@Lisa Nelson God released the plague and the pandemic to cull the weak from the herd.
Just like in that Texas school shooting the cowards are good for nothing but stopping ordinary citizens from doing what needs to be done.
Well I guess he shouldn’t have jumped in. He’s the only one that knew he couldn’t swim. Why do we keep rewarding stupidity.
A lesen to all who jump off a bridge, nobody is obligated yo jump off the same brige to safe you,,,,,and risk their own life….
But they stopped the wife from jumping in?
Lesson
Then don’t become a cop, if you only choose to save certain citizens
@Lisa Nelson you missed the point entirely.
@Fire Breathing Moon Beam not at all – I see the point clearly
Wow so sad.
Not really. Nobody forced him into the water
Now we have to teach officers how to swim
My buddy Jim jumped in the lake Tahoe in the winter time to save a girl in a baby stroller.
That baby can’t drown him. An adult can drown someone else.
Nobody cares about Jim.
Ahh yes the family suddenly cares so much once millions of dollars are at stake.
Is it the police’s responsibility to save a drowning person?
Just like the Alameda police department in the SF Bay Area. Cowards.
To obtain financial freedom, one must either be a business owner, an investor or both, generating passive income, particularly on a monthly basis.
I am interested to know more and invest in Crypto please 🙏
Is not advisable you trade with your IQ, Well I recommend Mr Nicholas Patrick! He’s the people best teacher and also my mentor.
@Melissa davis
I think trading is easier with proper guidance, especially from a professional, it really help reduce the chances of running into losses. All thanks to expert Nicholas Patrick he changed my life, I was able to pay off my mortgage.
Please how do I start trading with Mr Nicholas Patrick?
Write him 👆👆
Why is everyone surprised? Supreme Court – Castle Rock vs Gonzales 2005
PD has no duty to save you.
Basic human decency, and it’s in the title to protect and serve.
But I guess he deserves to die because a couple people back in 2005 made up very arbitrary rules.
That case has nothing to do with this situation. There was no way they could have saved him. That case is talking about having the ability to save someone and not doing it to prioritize your own life.
That’s not applicable. Even if they jumped in they weren’t saving him.
So the police don’t know how to swim. Like Uvalde land cops
Reacue swimming is a special skill that needs to be practiced. He would have just pulled the coos under as well in a panic.
@barrbarr31u its just baywatch. There are no special skills to practice what the fawk you talking about
All this because he didn’t want to go to jail… Trust nobody’s wants to go to jail but that doesn’t mean run from the cops and jump into a very cold river. All this was started because a concerned bystander saw he was getting cray cray on his girlfriend! Officers did all they could do. Very sad
They should have called some one!! Seriously
They just taunted him, and watched him die
Drowning happens too fast for anyone to help in this situation.
Do they think fences around water are permeable?
Sometimes we have to take our own responsibility to our Life, we can’t always put blame on the police, this day lawsuit is all about money to human life only. We are not little kids God sake blame yourself not always to the police, they do their job you have to do yours. He decided to jump into the water let him be.
His fault
Guy jumps off a bridge you gonna jump too? Phoenix police: absolutely not. Good call. Had a cop jumped in to help this would be a story about a guy that drowned and killed a cop.
Can’t blame anyone if you die because your own stupidity!
Well,! every citizen should be sue too for not helping.go and check all the black brown etc in nyc.see how they turn their backs.
It didnt go well for you maggots at nbc.did it?.
A tag on a democrat is.take it for free.
NO, NOT COOL!!! One of em could have saved him!!! He was begging for help & they sounded callous!!!! That’s a fellow human being drowning you f#$$’s!!!!!! His wife should have been aloud!!! NOT OK WITH THE BLATANT BS!!!! NOT COOL OFFICERS!!!! And I try to ALWAYS side with you BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! video isn’t out because of what y’all said!!!
That’s not true. The ONLY thing they could have done was get him away from the edge before he jumped. They had no way of doing that.
Some people cannot be saved. Not everyone is worth sacrificing a life to save even if it’s their job.
The ONLY outcome this would have is that they both died.
If they let her go help them the public would be angry they let her go in after him knowing she was going to die too.
He made a conscious decision to jump in. Rescue swimming is a technical skill that needs to be practiced. If the cops would have jumped in he would have pulled them under as well. Sorry, but it’s true.
so technical it’s taught in Schools to children in the time they wasted they could have googled it “I’m not going in for you” would this HERO jump in for a DOG?
@Peter Reed Really, they teach small children to rescue a 250+ lb man from drowning? I’d pay to see that! lol
All 👮 gear is heavy & he jump on his own . Tempe lake is 2 mile long on dry Rio salado , is block on both side to retain water for locals to enjoy. Shallow not deep non dangerous waters.
You should clarify your comment. It doesn’t make sense.
Officers are not trained to save lives in water and are at risk of being drowned by the person drowning. How about stupid shouldn’t have jumped in to run from the police. Police will not be liable for this incident.
Tax dollars, hard at work 💰 serve and protect my 🕳
The guy willingly jumped in because he didn’t want to go to jail, that’s on him. If the cops jumped in, not having any water rescue training or knowing how to swim, they could have drowned too. You can’t save someone if you can’t save yourself. Also, “unsheltered”, you mean homeless? Why do homeless people deserve to get minorvwarrents forgiven? You do the crime, you do the time or pay the fine, period.
Well, they shouldn’t be prioritized for having minor warrants removed. I don’t think it would be fair to give it to them and not other people.
Pretty sure they had a marine patrol unit most states do around large bodies of water
That doesn’t mean it’s close enough to help.
Obviously it was not there 😂🤣🤣
Ive seen video of them jumping in water to save a dog!!! One More example of what is
While this is sad the only thing that would have happened would be all of them died bc they are not life guards and they had no equipment. The drowning victim would have pulled the police with him. Plus he jumped in himself.
Natural consequences are not their fault.
There is a lot to blame them for but this isn’t one of them.
Wasnt he homeless? How come all of a sudden he has “family”? I would be embarrassed to be affiliated with someone like that … But i guess maybe 3 mill would make me light up some candles and pretend i gave a f…
They failed a man that was troubled. The lack of concern spilled off these cops as they watched. “I wonder how far do you think he is going to be able to swim?”……As he watched and chilled. Doing something is better than nothing.
I see that they conveniently cut out the part of the video where the officers told him not to do it and also told them that if he did, they were not going to jump in after him. So he was warned and still made stupid choices. Like swimming further on out as well. Stop blaming cops for stupid people!
stop defending cops dummy.
@MasterMan 126 Why? They did nothing wrong in this situation. Sounds like your are the one who is the actual dummy.
@Wendy Cochran lack of training. Instead of looking at only this case alone. Maybe look at the bigger picture. Police lacking accountability is a problem.
Heart warming story .. lesson learned here Dont Do Drugs!!!
Of course they are. I wouldn’t have jumped in either, especially with all of the equipment that they were wearing. He shouldn’t have gone swimming to begin with.
They tried to help him, his family really needs to F off. Where were they before this happened?
If it was a cat or dog drowning they would have definitely figured it out 🤣.
But a Cops decresion is just that.
Natural selection
What were the cops supposed to do? Dive in and swim for him?
We need to put emergency donuts in a box on bridges over water…like the call boxes on California freeways.
That way no matter what at least someone can throw a flotation device to a drowning victim.
Lol I’m glad this criminal with no brains is no longer with us. Who jumps in the water if they can’t swim 😂🤣
When did police become life GAURD.with today law that we can’t touch you do to the Floyd’s case it seen they don’t care..you want to defund the police my condolences..to the family
But the police changed since the Floyd’s ..when Joe Biden allow the criminals have more rights
What you expect
.they can’t man handle anymore
They don’t want to be charge with murder when a men resist arrest like flod this family now greedy
You can’t stop a person from suicide you cant. You can not control that feeling
Pigs.
“They weren’t trained” lol like really? But you know what I agree with that police aren’t trained to be decent human beings, because that’s what that man needed a decent human beings help
Dudes a idoit. He might as well have just shot himself
If he was yt you guys would be a lot more sympathetic..
Blame the police… not the person that jumped in the water after being told not to…
I like human beings that don’t require “training” to have compassion for another human being.
So it’s not ok for China to spy on children but it’s ok for US apps to collect their data? Makes sense. 👌
If yall watch the whole police video, the cops tell him to not go into the water as they weren’t able to go in and save him.
Those are mean-spirited police officers
This is so sad….I hope it will bring change. I believe every Officer should be trained in water rescue and carry a water flotation device in the vehicle.
Not the smartest choice
He’s the one who jumped 🤷🏻♂️
I’m sure the family’s pain and sufferings can be assuaged by a fat check from the city.
Well a good Lawyer would say , They shouldve stopped him if theyre afraid to go into the water then, why they allow him jump in the water, regardless him being suicidal IF he is. and if that is a devious Lawyer he could add “Because he is black they dont care” ., I know its a weird world we have.
This a tough one, but the cops did the right thing. That guy probably would have unintentionally drown anyone that tried to rescue him.
They probably (the cops) should have never been chasing the guy to start with.
god i hope thay wont win the lawsuit
I work here today on December 10 2022
I mean I went here on December 10, 2022
This almost happened to my relative too on a huge river in Oregon.
At first I was like I don’t know how this will work…although I didn’t know the part where they restrained someone from trying to save him…that could change everything. Questions like, if you didn’t want to stop 1 why stop another, will arise.
As a certified free diver, advanced certied diver, and someone raised on an island – trying to save someone who is in survival mode in the water is so difficult and dangerous even when you know exactly how to do it.
It’s unfortunate that he decided to jump in the water but this could easily be a sad story of him losing his life PLUS one or two officers also losing theirs in the process.
exactly: rescue swimming is a specialized skill. folks watch too much baywatch
You do dumb things you get dumb results. That simple.
yet they all want to be looked at as heroes.
The police are not trained lifeguards. The guy made a stupid decision. The lawsuit is insane.
As a certified life guard I was trained in the fact that a drowning person WILL drown you if they get their hands on you out panic. Period. The police saved the wife’s life by keeping her out of the water.
I hope those 🐷 kids are in the same situation and nobody helps them.
