Some businesses in New York may be forced to close after a new law from the state would ban the sale of dogs, cats and rabbits in pet stores. WNBC’s Pei-Sze Cheng reports.

🌎 Super Duperly Urgent New World Order Early Morning Report: Special Prosecutor Jack Smith investigates Hunter Biden’s Laptop.
It would be interesting to find out why this law was passed in the first place. Here in Ontario, Canada, what were
called “puppy farms” were shut down and retail sales were redefined. There were too many unhealthy puppies.
@green beanz why not concern for both?
@Patti they obviously aren’t though… you must be dumb to not understand what he’s saying
@Patti not the point! If the sate can legally kidnap and sell people but you’re not even allowed to breed and sell a dog, what does that say?? Stop pretending like you care about dogs, YOU DON’T CARE! You don’t even care about other human beings. What you are is a control freak and a psycho. You’re the type that would sell other human beings and act like you’re a wonderful person because you saved a tree from being cut down.
The Dark Side is pro euthanasia. If these pets are not distributed to willing buyers then they must be euthanasia (killed). Just curious you do know rabbits screw ALOT
@I’mtheman There’s a reason why rabbits are so loving and cute. When their community becomes over-populated, female rabbits will ingest their pregnancy and pass it through their digestive system. When too many females are doing this, they’ll break away to form a new community.
Yay!! Good!!
Ignorant idea. Puppy mills will thrive now
Where do you think the pet shops got all the puppies???🤣
Yeah these people do not understand how black markets work they’re literally advocating for killing more animals now they have no idea what they’ve just done floodgates open this type of stuff is the stuff Michael Vick loves!
@Canaan Alexander yeah bro these people are ignorant but again it’s more white ignorance and white guilt trying to correct themselves this is pure ignorance at its best.
Good. Adopt. Too many dogs in the shelter. People spay or neuter your pets.
More ignorant why do you think there are so many dogs in shelters. Maybe you should buy your dogs from a shelter but that’s not the right decision for everyone most people want puppies because they don’t want an old dog that’s been taught bad things by people like you. You people are honestly the worst telling other people to buy from shelters and all you do is by puppies from private sellers this is ridiculous.
Just adopt the pets in shelters.
You should do math there’s not enough dogs and shelters in this country to support all the people who want dogs. This is already been widely researched this is a very ignorant topic. The whole reason we have private sellers of dogs is to supplement the selling of dogs because you know there’s not enough!
To the woman the featured most here: instead of regretting starting a business completely based on breeding animals, just sell rescue animals? Take in rescue animals and train them and then sell them? Or rehome rescue animals? Like every other shelter. Open a cat cafe? Open a doggie playground? You’re essentially complaining that you can no longer sell your ‘perfect and bred’ animals, which is weird to me.
So you would start a baby mill? Having moms pump out babies to put on shelves and sell.. “ooooo I have always wanted an Asian baby!! That one that one!!” In a world where there millions of children who need homes? That’s what you’re doing to the animals.
On top of that, the comment about “they will just go do it somewhere else!” Are you kidding me? That’s the best you can come up with? “I followed all your regulations that have allowed for this questionable business to survive and everyone ELSE does it so why can’t I?! Don’t make me have to change my business to fit current consumer demands and government changes in regulation?!” Seriously?!
Authoritarian much? They tried prohibition in the 1920s and it worked so well last time.
@Geess AessThese shelter people are a cult. I swear! They’re on a power trip to play big brother to anyone who tries to adopt from their disgusting shelters. They Chip the animals which ultimately chips the owners. They force this weird, obnoxious application system to determine if you’re a “good little doggie owner.” It’s all such a radicalized market, I’d NEVER, EVER adopt from a shelter. Most of their dogs are pits and other bully dog mixes. PASS!
@Geess Aess yea let’s compare alcohol to living beings 😂
@Geess Aess you saying they shouldn’t have abolished slavery too? Nice 👍
This law is excellent and long overdue. Certainly we can find other ways to make money than “selling animals”. It’s nice that this one store owner has documentation but puppy mills are eager to supply vaccine information, which is easy. It’s more about the puppies growing conditions and if the parents are in a mill-type situation. Initially, people may go across state lines to get their cutie, but hopefully more states will follow and the industry may have to clean up their act to survive. Vets everywhere in US are having trouble keeping up with current demand anyway, and a lack of incoming Vets is scary, so this lady citing theirs as one of the jobs to be lost is kinda grasping at straws. Plenty of great Puppies and Dogs in the shelters right now, everywhere, waiting for homes…a few whom may have been bought at a store like this.
News: The pet stores will stop selling dogs.
Me: Doggone it!
Long overdue!
To all the people blapping just adopt a shelter animal…….why don’t you peeps adopt them all if you care so much. And F off my business.
Your business is playing video games.
All the people telling you to buy dogs from shelters are literally buying puppies from puppy mills! Because if it was as many people talking about adopting dogs as they were online there would be no dogs in shelters! Considering that there are more people out there looking for a dog than shelters in this country are housing abandoned animals. And again stop telling people to buy an abandoned animal there was a reason that animal was abandoned. And mostly it’s not because someone is moving.
@Roger McMillan wrong video keep it about the dogs.
@Roger McMillan you know what’s funny swing and a miss. More like electrical engineering haha 🙂 the irony. PS electric cars won’t save the planet just limit your freedom per the usual!!!!
@Taurean Smoke to be honest it start with dogs. Ends with us on our knees. Imagine a government telling you can’t have a chocolate Labador my god. I Loveed my chocolate Labrador best dog I ever had smartest too not like mutts……..glad my life is full of all the opportunities not taken from me.
Don’t sell them, just accept donations for 🐕🐈
You got to love white people they always got to ruin it for other people. Do you clowns not know that when you stop allowing puppies to be sold legally all you’re doing is making a black market which is going to allow more puppies to to die prematurely. Honestly you white people never learn this is the same thing as abortion if you stop abortion you’re going to have women dying in the streets. It’s the same thing stop being stupid Peta you have no idea what you’re talking about! I guess I’ll go to New York and start selling dogs again looks like I can make a killing now!
Another reason to leave New York.
Happy with this change
Zoos should not exist neither.
Or greyhound racing.
This ban pleases me to no end.
I don’t know enough yet to understand why banning pets in stores will end backyard breeding. Here in Montreal we have the same ban and there are still tons of puppy mills that sell on kijiji.
@Mildred Melusine You can start with one piece of knowledge and that is dogs in shelters grow more numerous in population and have less chance of adoption because the pet industry output of breeds and puppies is high. Like foster care, people tend adopt babies but rarely adopt toddlers and adolescents. Subsequently the shelter dogs are euthanized.
The demands for the pets food supply and suppliments is still there, not to mention the pet toys and accessories. I don’t see how they’re going to be out of business.
Phhht, yeah because that’s how they make their money…
@bellagirl girl that’s not a good comparison. We don’t know how much the store profits are. An 80% pay cut for her could be an increase in pay for anyone working full time.
I worked at one of these kinds of places and they tend to charge THOUSANDS for the dogs, when I would look at the numbers – only like 20% of income came from floor sales like dog food or supplements… I ended up adopting the cutest little ferret and then quit and got myself out of that kind of job. Plus people tend to make commission off the dogs, leading them to just sell them like cars rather than living beings
@bellagirl girl I’m sure that’s what people used to say to deffend slavery. This animals are living innocent beings, not property and slaves to keep a bussiness running (unless you think that’s what they are, which says all that needs to be said about someone). If you can’t have a bussiness without slavery, find yourself a new bussiness (unless you’re gonna say that is sooo hard so let’s just keep slavery)
UEll D will actually will help thee economy in one way. The sale of gas will be increased.
Facilities that euthanatize animals will be much busier.
And again let’s act like all the shelters are treating dogs humanely and they’re all peaceful and none of them are being purchased from puppy mills or have diseases or my favorite tendencies of violence! Yeah let’s just act like all the dogs in the pound are nice dogs! My family literally had to turn away three dogs we got from the pound I wish I was lying. No we will always get a puppy that we can train ourselves because humans are ignorant. Especially considering this law that just got passed.
You can find puppies at shelters from gentle Mommas:)
It’s such a cult I can’t handle it. They’re more concerned with controlling dog owners than the dogs themselves. It’s a racket. Never subject yourselves to shelter dogs. Most are violent breeds.
@Harby Arby I hope you’re happy being the reason why they’re going to be a lot more dead and sickly puppies being sold! It’s going to be the same thing when they took your abortion rights away! You take away access more things die It’s simple economics really!
Don’t you mean the “sale of dogs” not “sell of dogs”? So many malapropisms in headlines these days…
Replacing sell with sale is super common in some areas. Where I grew up (Utah) it was everywhere. “Garage sell” signs etc. my whole family hated it.
Had to scroll through the comments to see if anyone else had caught this. It’s disturbing how many mistakes there are in headlines of major news companies. It looks to me like they are not proofreading things anymore.
This law should be enacted in all fifty states. Adopt, don’t shop.
No cause then it’s only rich people get purebred dogs. If a poor person wants to have a specific kind of dogs, let them just make all of those shops near their animals first
@Joey S huh?
I’m so glad I was able to buy my little toy poodle from a breeder. I couldn’t find any toy poodles to adopt. It’s the best little dog ever! and it doesn’t shed which is great for my allergies. If this option was no longer available, that would be sad. I’m just glad the option was there.
It won’t stop backdoor breeders. These animals will be sold cheaper to the wrong ppl. Places them in serious dangers.
You can still buy them, downtown Manhattan, but you’ll have to pay by the pound.
Couldn’t pay me to adopt from a shelter! It’s a cult.
But Tyrone’s pitty mill will still be operational
Why don’t these stores just get shelter and rescue pets to replace the store ones? Unless the store relies specifically on people buy $2,000 dogs.
“Unless the store relies specifically on people buy $2,000 dogs.” — ding ding ding
But now where the stores one gonna go?
@B.B.S backyard breeders have all sorts of shady methods to sell their animals, unfortunately. This banning of selling pets in stores is just ONE STEP in the right direction.
@Patti Yep – go after breeders next.
Exactly 👍 she’s complaining that she can’t have her ‘chosen’ dogs for sale anymore, and does not feel like restructuring her business to fit a more ethical practice
Republican Party is greatest threat to humanity Qanon Seditionist Moscow Mitch Enabaler of sedition and treason Republican Party.
Dogs from pet stores are from puppy mills. It doesn’t matter if a “breeder” gives the store a certificate of health. No reputable breeder would sell their dogs to a pet store! The shop owner is absolutely delusional if she doesn’t think she’s contributing to the problem. Adopt, don’t shop! Pet stores selling dogs are also illegal in Maryland and a few other states. We need a nationwide ban!
@green beanz of course I care! That’s a stupid question! FBI and local law enforcement are always finding ways to save the innocent and arrest the criminals too. What other laws do you need on the books to stopped those crimes when there’s ones in place to try to protect the innocent? If anything there should be more funding for investigations, steeper sentences for the crimes or even the death penalty IMO!
@silverpurkat do you know how to read? Read my comment again. You clearly didn’t understand a word🤦♂️
Do bad that those puppies mill will still make money by selling the dogs to illegal street fight banning pet store from selling them does not protect any of the animals
@silverpurkat I assume this would be a more responsible way, as a breeder would want to know what environment the animal would be placed in and whether it would be left alone for long periods, the people interacting, the purpose etc. because it’s obvious most dog owners don’t do any research as to what animals are best suited for a solitary life in an apartment.
@green beanz or you need to write clearer sentences.
Thats great news i can send it too you through the mail. Now
Who wrote the headline?
Selmer trades lives for money.
I’ve been randomly searching for puppies for yeeeaaaarrrrs, never got one tho because of the insane amounts of customer complaints reviews saying they were sold sickly drugged up puppies. They cost too much darn money to be duping people of of their hard earned cash. Then to top it off the blatant disrespect and dodging they do to the customers who’ve just looking to find out wth is going on with their new fur babies is KeRaZy. Look it up, u’ll see. Especially some shops in Brooklyn. I feel bad for the pet shop owners who always do the right thing tho.
Why would they drug the puppies? 😢
@Mildred Melusine to make them look lively when on display. They’ve also had their own vets lie and say the pups were in good medical standing but after the customers got them home and their health rapidly declined they were given the cold shoulder and ignored. There’s one place in particular that was notorious for that in Brooklyn and if I’m not mistaken, the shop even burned down and all the pets died too…I’ll look it up
@Mildred Melusine
Puppy Boutique in Brooklyn…
“The vets were saying that had it gone longer he would’ve died,” said Karina Sanchez, who bought her dog, Kush, in late January.
Sanchez said she was appalled by the conditions and care that Puppy Boutique provided the dog, saying she found the pooch surrounded by feces and discovered staff feeding the her Gatorade and Frosted Flakes!
“I noticed there was something weird in their drink,” she said. “I asked the employee and he said, ‘Oh, we give puppies Gatorade because it gives them electrolytes.”
A manager at the store, who would only give his name as Philip, admitted to feeding the dogs sugary foods, saying the diet was cleared by the city’s Department of Health, which inspects the store regularly.
@Mildred Melusine
Angry animal lovers gathered outside a Bensonhurst pet store on Saturday to protest the shop’s allegedly substandard conditions — which activists claim includes selling customers sick and dying dogs.
“This store sold us, and hundreds of others, a puppy that was sick with kennel cough and had a congenital eye defect,” said Elena
@Mildred Melusine
The investigation at American Kennels also found:
Up to 20 sick puppies at a time were hidden away in “sick rooms” in the back of the store or in the store’s cold basement rather than being immediately taken to a veterinarian for urgent care.
Some of the dogs were sick and suffering for weeks with symptoms suggesting infections, pneumonia, abscesses, diarrhea, parasites and more. They were often treated in the store with ad hoc remedies such as bulk medications that were not individually prescribed and being force-fed if they were too sick to eat on their own.
Many sick room cages were smeared with so much excessive feces that the puppies inside them had no clean place to stand.
Pet store staff medicated sick dogs with drugs the store had on hand. In one case a fragile toy poodle weighed a little over 1 pound when she arrived and was not eating. Instead of rushing the dog to a veterinarian, an employee force-fed the puppy baby food and injected her with fluids. The puppy later developed an abscess where the worker injected the fluids. The dog was not promptly taken to a veterinary hospital for professional care. She was finally taken to a veterinarian only after she had suffered in the back room for weeks.
A shih tzu with obvious skin pustules and hair loss was kept in the sick room, and later the basement, for weeks without being taken to a veterinarian for a diagnosis and urgent care.
When the store’s sick rooms were full, some sick puppies were moved to the sales floor. The store then knowingly sold some of the sick puppies to unsuspecting families. Some families who purchased sick puppies later returned them to the store, where they were placed back in sick rooms instead of being taken to a veterinarian immediately.
In apparent violation of New York City’s pet shop law, the store purchased puppies from at least three brokers (resellers) who hold B dealer licenses with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Some store staff refused to share information about the breeders of store puppies to potential customers who asked—another apparent violation of the city’s pet store law.
Some large-breed puppies, such as a chow, Labrador retriever and a golden retriever, were kept in tiny cages meant for toy-sized dogs such as Yorkies, and the investigator never saw them taken from their cages for regular exercise.
Yes!! No more puppy mills which these stores rely on to stay in business!! Shut them down!!
Maybe you should have paid more attention to puppy mills and the awful industry of cruelty
I don’t understand decriminalizing marijuana but criminalizing having dogs
Clearly you missed most of the information provided in this short video.
These stores often source their animals from puppy mills, one of the most unethical practices regarding dogs and cats – this video talks about aiming to end that issue. The criminalization of marijuana has led to the detaining of hundreds of thousands of Americans while many many murderers and heavy drug dealers still walk the streets or avoid jail time because jails are already full with these small types of petty criminals.. it might be fun to think that one sassy comment is going to answer all of these questions in the world, but that’s just not the case.
Because of breeders breeding under horrendous practices.
Go to a shelter and get a dog that needs you….. there are endless dogs waiting in a kennel for no one to show up 🙁
And they are all great pets – they just need someone to give them a chance!
You can only get a castrated animal – many people don’t want that.
@paul sawczyc that’s kinda weird and also a self report
@paul sawczyc Even fewer people want thousands of homeless animals, over crowded shelters, puppy mills and irresponsible backyard breeding by morons who could care less about the animals.
@MJ A castrated dog gets fat and sleeps all day – doesn’t bark when someone is at the door.
We should export dogs and cats for consumption. We could really clean up the shelters and make money instead of losing money.
Convert to much needed shelters these precious animals still need you!
what’s the context of this ban?
#adoptdontshop
Selmer’s was one of my absolute favorite places to go as a kid.. we never bought any animals there but we bought a ton of pet supplies there over the years. They always seemed like one of the good ones.
Adopt a dog or cat from a shelter plz.
**SALE**
A part of the cruel industry? War is okay ? I can’t anymore with people..they just keep making up stuff as they go always changing the game …must be a very lager company that’s going to talk control of all the animals..
for the over-priced puppy you buy at the pet store, you can get a responsibly-bred animal from a reputable breeder
In South Africa pet shops almost don’t exist anymore. We’ve bought directly from breeders or adopted from shelters for years, and most pet toys and dog food is bought at the vet’s vetshop instead.
@Gideon Roos All these people against banning pets from pet stores are all crying about how things are going to get worse. Comments like yours are showing an example of a successful system without pet stores buying from the sketchiest sources for profit. Other countries have been successful. There’s no reason why the U.S. can’t be as well
Thank God !!!
Negligent human beings r the cause of this. Blame urself!
Great, next they should stop selling human beings but they won’t, the state makes to much money “legally” kidnapping and selling your kids but NO PUPPY FOR YOU!😂
You can tell whoever titled this skipped their 2nd grade English classes.
Hopefully, butchers will still be in business.
From Wikipedia: “Hasenpfeffer is a traditional Dutch and German stew made from marinated rabbit or hare, cut into stewing-meat sized pieces and braised with onions and a marinade made from wine and vinegar.” (AKA: Yum!)
I have a rescue dog. And I am constantly at pet stores to purchase food, treats, beds, boots, leashes, sweaters, etc. One of my local pet stores has a dog bath station and the store is very busy. Restructure the businesses to cater to pet owners.
right. this store owner is lazy and greedy
@Patti No different than a live butcher market.
This law will just help insure the rate of animals being euthanatized will increase a thousand fold.
Just need bigger trash cans to hold all the dead carcasses!
@I’mtheman unfortunately this is not going to slow down puppy mills and backyard breeders from selling. at. all. this is one step in the right direction. just a small step
This is a stupid law. I don’t even own an animal. How MORONICALLY HEARTLESS are NY State politicians for voting this into law. IF IF IF IF There was an animal store or shelter that was mistreating or abusing animals, then you shut down the one abuser. BUT, New York State is punishing the entire industry for what, some idiot’s stupid idea of being WOKE, POLITICALLY CORRECT. BS like this is why people like DeSantis, and Trump, and Trump’s lackeys and fanbase criticize New York. This law needs to be repealed.
Highlighting one good pet store owner does nothing to highlight the scores of HORRIBLE pet store owners that this law will put out of business. Progress requires sacrifice. For every good pet store owner there are a dozen or more that don’t care for their animals properly. There are plenty of animals at shelters waiting to be adopted.
Lord, conservatives, i.e., the some Republicans want to limit what is taught in schools, ban books that teach Critical Race Theory, as well as books that have been in circulation in a government operated library for up to 100 years. But, here comes Linda Rosenthal, a New York State Democrat, who wants to BALANCE THE STUPID political decisions by creating a bill that bans licensed business owners from selling animals. What a moron? But, I get it. I see what Rosenthal wants to do. If people won’t clean up their dog’s poop off the sidewalks, then passing a law to ban the sell of all animals under the idea that it is inhumane cruelty to animals, then eventually there will be less dog ownership in New York City. How many people will want to or be able to afford to travel to another State for an animal?
Good. Too many animals
Go to the shelter, or a private breeder. End the mills!
Good for New York. Now if only all other states would follow. So many shelter animals need and deserve homes.
Kosher and halal butchers need to go next.
It’s “sale”, not “sell”. Your ignorance is stunning.
Don’t people ever learn? Closing the legal market will open the black market. History speaks for itself. It’s a bad idea, again.
Why doesn’t the state just regulate puppy breeders and regulate where retail stores obtain their animals from, like state approved breeders???
There are far too many backyard breeders for that to ever truly be in practice.
@Lakota828 – There won’t be too many backyard breeders if they make it illegal for pet shops to buy from them.
“..go to a shelter!” I agree with the sentiment👍. BUT unless there is a “pro-mutt” law FLAT OUT prohibiting the breeding of dogs then this law is just punishing the Brick&MortarMom&Pop shops. This type of NYS government over-reach reminds me of how NYS attorney general Andrew Cuomo force ISP to shut down free newsgroups unless the ISP examined each and every single image posted so as to prevent human trafficking.🙄 It garnered political points and doing actually NOTHING. With the effective death of free newsgroups we saw the rising of Social Media giants in its place, and that is no bueno! I’m a Liberal and even I won’t hold my breath waiting for the Democrats to crack down on Big Corps for any bad behavior. Always easier to mess with the little guygal.😒
Selling dogs fuels puppy mills. Sorry but this MUST happen.
I have mixed feelings about this law. I hate to see people out of jobs. I do not want to enable puppy mills for sure. I do worry about issues that will go along with this. I bought my dog from a store that sells dogs that they also breed. I wouldn’t do that again however I love him to death.
No one is making these stores go out of business, they are choosing not to go to a shelter and rehome animals… she and so many others could do that but they didn’t, so don’t fall for their pity party
We don’t have puppies and cats sold in pet stores here in Montreal and there is still a big issue with puppy mills. People buy dogs on kijiji instead from backyard breeders.
Yes but MANY less people are going to go use a sketchy thing like kijiji then every mom and their family that stop by for a Christmas present
There are no more important problems in NYC to address?
Get shelter dogs, you just want to feel sorry for your self because you are not going to sell dogs for thousands of thousands of dollars, get shelter dogs even if you make less money but is more rewarding to safe a life. thank you new York
Really this was posted by NBC NEWS…congrats on reaching a new level of ignorance and stupidity…who is the moron who titled this….”New York Bans Sell Of Dogs, Cats And Rabbits In Stores” …. guess English is not your first language….it’s New York Bans THE SALE Of Dogs, Cats And Rabbits In Stores….and this is from a major news network…I want to vomit in your face.
This law needs to be national wide. The breeding animals are constantly made pregnant to produce litter after littler of young. Doesnt matter if the puppies are healthy, this is an abusive industry! Shelters are overloaded with abandoned animals. Shut up and go see for yourselves, bunch of ignorant abusers!
There are so many cats and dogs being euthanized just simply because no one wants them. For this reason, I will never buy from a pet store (unless it’s a rescue or from the local shelter) or from a breeder. I can’t justify paying money for someone to create a puppy for me when there are way too many already. My first dog was a 1 year old from a woman who couldn’t keep him and my second dog was a stray outside starving in my neighborhood. I attempted to return her to her owner but was told they couldn’t keep her and good luck finding her a home. She is now a very spoiled little girl with a full tummy and lots of love.
Bless you. That’s how I got my first beagle. Just a sweet little worn out girl roaming the neighborhood. 2nd beagle was from Humane Soc. And now I have a cat that adopted me on the coldest day of the yr. seven winters ago.
Finally. No more puppy mills, no more corruption, abuse, neglect, dirty cages, mal nutrition dog factories.
You want a dog or cat? Befriend the local stray or adopt at local shelter or VOLUNTEER to walk some dog pound dogs with a scheduled euthanization date
🐾🐾😺🐶🐭 ❤
Oh great. Re think this one… “backyard breeders” public sales Re far more safe.
some good news for a change
I want a puppy now
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Oh wow!!!
Here in Ontario, Canada, they did this years ago. However, most pet stores still have animals available–they just have them on loan from local shelters instead of buying them from puppy mills and mass breeders.
So selling birds and other “exotic” animals isnt part if the cruelty trade?! 😂😹
of course it is, but this is already a huge step in the right direction, now as a society we need to keep going so birds and exotic animals are also protected
what a moron, banning pets?
Dogs and cats = pets. Rabbit = food. They should be at least be able to sell rabbits.
The living animal is what is important here – not the pet store.
I’m glad they are banning and should all over the country! There are too many backyard breeders benefiting from buying dogs are stores and then dogs end up on streets and shelters when people don’t want them. It’s sad! There needs to be more done. The only concern now is the black market.
Sale*
Yes banning legally selling of puppies is gonna work like marijuana ban that worked so well Everyone stopped buying weed immediately after the ban until it was legalized in NY. Unlike Guns, The cruel industry aka the pet store must be stopped! Oh the horror!
What’s going to happen to the unsold animals that will be left over in 2024?
Now where are asians gonna get their food?
Pet stores in canada stopped selling dogs and cats yrars ago and they are still in business, pets stil lneed food etc….she’s just being greedy and contributing from the puppy mills
About time.
YES YES YES!!! NO TO PUPPY MILLS. AKA. PUT A BULLET THROUGH THE FEMALE DOG JUST BECAUSE SHE CAN’T MAKE MORE PUPPIES.
Selma leaves put this part, doesn’t she??
Ban this and legal to sell weeds!🦖
Adopt, dont shop!!
It’s about time!!!!
I say, that ONLY shelter animals should be in Pet Stores, and ONLY up for adoption after a check is done on the buyer, to ensure the animal will be well cared for…
Let’s get our abused Darlings in loving forever Homes!!!
I’ve got an idea – mandatory drug testing for all New York politicians. If they fail – they are permanently banned from ANY political office or lobbying position.
The less breeders the better. Now, outlaw the use of horses pulling those stupid carriages for tourists please!
Now they need to work on adoption agencies from selling children to adopted family
The argument that disgusting greedy woman makes for keeping the sale of pets is the same one slaverists used to make to deffend slavery, that if it was abolished it would be terrible for the economy. This prohibition means saving the lives of millions of poor animals treated as slaves, nothing but property, and is the best news I’ve heard in the entire year
Whats next? EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN
Linda Rosenthal poster child for Old Miserable Liberals. They are miserable wretches and wish to make everybody else feel the same.
