Honestly, I don’t think it is that good to keep telling people that they should sleep less to get more time.
I go through a phase when I slept 5 hours a night for 2 years, never been as unhappy as I was (Hell yeah I was productive, but couldn’t appreciate it because I was spending too much energy trying not loosing it). Plus then, I’ve gradually been unable to sleep, not even 1 hour, I lost completly my mind and became all paranoid because I wasn’t sleeping.
So yeah, sleeping less is a great way to get more time, but that has been now 1 year that I spent trying to recover for the nervous break down I had because of that ; and I’m still not fine. I’ll probably now have to hope my whole life for this not to happen again.
So in the end, sleeping less has been the most time and energy consumming thing I ever did.
Sleeping less = losing time + playing loterie with your mental and physical health
This doesn’t apply to you then; it’s more so for those that sleep too much.
@Kanna If you’re able to sleep less, that’s great. If you find that sleeping less is creating a downward spiral in your life, it is your responsibility to make that change. Stephan is just trying to give good advice and add value to your life.
@Gill Raman As I wrote it, I’ve been trying to recover for now 1 year. I’ve been seing both a doctor and a psychiatrist so please, don’t call me irresponsible for not trying to change that because that is just not true.
Then, I did not mean to attack Stephan (and he understood that), I’ve been just willing to put a warning sign on this sleeping less advice. You have to do it moderately otherwise you will end up like me.
I have heard TONS of info about weight loss in the 30+ I WAS (I lost over 100 lbs so far) obese and I never ever heard that about eating & sleeping. Thank you for sharing that! I am terrible at managing my time and it shows up in my life daily! I need to look at some of your videos and see if you have more about this subject. Thanks 🙂
sleep is part of health, enough sleep is when u wake up without an alarm
