I live 15 minutes from the assault born and raised in Portland…the city is out of control and reality from it’s everyday issues that every day people has to deal with….people who has to live with public transportation should be very concerned and guarded it’s not safe to ride public transportation..stay safe and aware of yourself and your surroundings..
But this particular case the person moved from a red state to a blue state and did this, why didn’t he try to eat someone’s face while he was home in Ga??

Why was anyone at the Max station at 2am especially a 78 year old man? The trains are not running in those early morning hours, and don’t start up until around dawn. Portland has an unusually high percentage of drugged up and mentally ill people that wander the streets. I’ve never seen a city with a similar size population, have so many undesirables that just prowl the streets. As far as I’m concerned the city needs to call in the Oregon National Guard, because Portland is not functioning. Either Portland doesn’t have the resources to patrol the city, or it just doesn’t care enough I don’t know. I just know Portland if far to violent for what its population size is. It’s having the problems and high numbers of crime and murders that New York does.
