Protesters will gather on Thursday in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz to continue demanding the release of Governor Luis Fernando Camacho.
Demonstrations have gripped the lowland region for almost two weeks, since the arrest of the right-wing politician on “terrorism” charges. They are related to an alleged 2019 coup against Evo Morales, who was president at the time.
