Would be great but China refuses to import the much more effective vaccines unless the west allows the Chinese vaccines to go to market in the west. Makes no sense. Literally, this huge omicron wave could’ve been eased with the very effective vaccines and no one in the west would prepare a less effective Chinese vaccines. You can watch interviews with Victor Gao recently where he states this as just good economic sense while at the same time saying the last three years was all about saving lives. Boggles the mind.

I think it depends on the location. I was out this weekend in Suzhou, and the restaurants where packed, parking was almost impossible and people where out and about.
This report seems like a reporter who read some articles online, watched a few other networks, and filed his report. Of course numbers are down. Hardly anyone is testing anymore. For the next month omicron is going to run through China. Most places are empty because so many people are sick right now. Give it a month and people will be back out with natural immunity and ready to live again. For now, most people are sick so resting at home.
Health experts propose people to go for very strict lockdowns and quarantines. They do not consider the practical side of these measures. Having a huge number of people in a town under a lockdown naturally will have its problems. Humans are not robots, humans will have a lockdown fatigue and stress after weeks being restrained in their houses. They will also run out of money to feed themselves if they cannot work. The government and the health experts should consider these aspects.
