Video captured the moments when U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Thompson, who has been serving in Kuwait, surprised his daughter, Lydia, in Philadelphia during career day and the moment Army soldier Hannah Henning, who has been deployed in Iraq, surprised her 4-year-old daughter, Charlie, in Kentucky for Mother’s Day.

That’s the kind of thing that puts a big smile on your face first thing in the morning. Thank you for covering this… and thank you for your service, military members ❤️

YT is deleting any contrary to the narrative comments
見ていて凄く感動しました。🥹この子たちに今以上の幸せな未来がきますように♪
Sorry but i could/would never leave my children to go participate in a war.
@dkm07305able nope
@mxri _ that’s an awful thing to think will happen. You don’t know that.
@char shill yes
Neither parent is in a war – they are likely deployed to middle eastern military bases, making sure the installed democracy there prevails
Nobody is forcing you
I Love these stories ❤️ its also hard when your kids in the military
don’t let your kids go into the military or be brainwashed by the MIC
Sleepless nights I’m betting sweetie. If you’re a military parent THANK YOU for bringing a brave soul into our world they’re much needed right now 💖
@Picketty Witch brave?
@truthseekerssigning up to fight whoever wherever, yeah brave.
What have you done today to make you feel proud, apart from asking questions with obvious answers.
As usual, only one small part of the military represented in this piece. Are journalists afraid to go to communities of color? Disappointed.
Very nice.
☝️☝️🌹
❤❤❤❤😊😊
Fools.
2:32 Was that little girl doing the salute pose or wiping tears from her eyes??😁
Careful, he probably owns guns
As a solider
Female soldiers why are they needed that should just be for men..
Usually these reunions are an explosion of emotions, but leave it to NBC to totally fall flat and fail. Both of these reunions are so obviously fake and scripted, there is no real emotion in either one. They could have been epic, but dumbasses at these major news organizations have no clue how to be organic.

Some of these negative comments in here are really worrying me about how we view the world.
True, how can anyone be smiling from this video, knowing what the US army does worldwide for last 50 years.
❤
PRECIOUS MOMENTS 🤍
I don’t know how anyone can watch this without tears in their eyes.
Its pretty easy knowing anyone in US army is part of a invading and aggresive country who destroys countries left and right.
😢I know I can’t
The giant bow in Charlie’s hair…🥰
I was dying at that little girl saying no, turning around and then being like wait a minute? 😂😂😂
Me too! I bust out laughing when she turned the second time that was such a great reaction.
Thank you to all our service members who sacrifice everything to protect our country and others around the world.
Thanks for invading other countries
Luckily neither you or I don’t have too.
😭😭😭😭 wholesome omg
Gets me everytime…😢
Isn’t kuwait deployment super easy and chill?
Isn’t just chill like being on rotation in korea?
When the little girl’s dad said “remember anything else munchkin” and she said “no” without noticing it was him, I lost it 🥲🥰❤❤❤
I’m with you tears😢and thank yous for their service
Teacher- “What does today do?”
Kid- “He’s a pawn sheep the government uses in their attempt to amass natural resources and police 3rd world countries”…..
Thats great!….Your next story should be about all the Iraqi kids who DONT have parents that come home because our American soldiers have itchy trigger fingers and could care less about civilian lives…..
Very sweet, women should not be in the military tho…better served at home
No! You’re crying…. ❤️🤍💙
Poor kids.
Thank you for your service guys love from England ❤️🤍💙
Your crying I’m not crying 🧅🔪🧅🔪🧅
The cost of colonialism and resource pillaging ….
This is racist since blacks don’t have dad’s to come see them at school. Shame on you
Will who ever is cutting onions will you *PLEASE* stop already! 🧅😭
Welcome home and thank you for your service.
Stop cutting onions people.
These will never not be tear-jerkers!
Thank you for sharing these joyous videos. Thank you for your service to all who are protecting myself and my family.
They are not joyous! Those kids are crying not laughing
While I do think this is sweet, it’s also kind of strange: for a little person to suddenly have a parent who’s been gone indefinitely(a child’s understanding of time) and to have to deal with all the feelings that accompany that, to have them just appear and in your class room no less with all your peers.. to feel all those emotions flooding you, not really understanding what’s happening, not to mention sort of setting her up for when her mother has to leave again and her always wondering if mom’s gonna appears back at school “like last time” and how that would effect her productivity in the long term. Idk.. to me it just seems like a really tender moment that would’ve been more appropriate to experience in the comfort of home, where she can cry and feel the range of emotions away from teacher and classmates asking why she’s crying and even better if she could’ve know ahead of time that mom was coming home.
It’s a bit like a parent to who missed Christmas just showing up in your class with all your presents.. like, right sentiment, wrong setting and timing. Ultimately glad for her though.
I understood why. I just missed my dad so much. We got tape recordings and letters from Daddy. We didn’t have the internet and cellphones then. Nobody cared about our feelings. But it was the hard not knowing if or when, he was coming home.
Oh my hearrrrt ❤
I’ll tell you there’s nothing like a lil girl jumping up on her Daddy’s arms.. everything you think you know about being a man changes once they do. Being wrapped around her lil finger is so true
Love this! Makes me think of my dad coming home June 1968 after my grandfather, his father, died.
We met him at Stapeton Airport. We were just as happy to see him then as these little girls were seeing their parents. I will never forget that feeling.
❤❤❤
Mom’s with young children shouldn’t be leaving them. Years ago a woman I know was deployed for 6 months, the child was barely a year. She got offered the chance to go back shortly after, and figured she could get a new minivan with the extra money.
I love how the girl in red white and blue turned around, and then suddenly realized who it was. Love those.
Seeing both kids do double takes is heartwarming.
I’m happy for the kids but I don’t appreciate military propoganda and the brainwashing of our youths to think of the military favorably
Not me waiting to cry, I didn’t😅
Thank You!🙏🏾💞
Beautiful 😊
I’m crying harder than the kiddos. I love these types of stories 🥹 Thank you to every parent, child and family that makes these sacrifices.
aw so heart warming. Gotta indoctrinate the kids early that war is good and heroic cause mommy and daddy do it. Now why we don’t educate them on the real reason america involves themselves in conflicts all over the world whil their own country falls apart and gets led into ww3 by their corrupt leaders. “Thanks for your service” laughed the WEF and Blackrock members 🤡
What does your dad do? Invade other countries
I’m sorry to say this…but its wrong! A mother needs to be with her kids. The kids don’t understand where their mom is..they just know they miss her. As you can see, I have terrible abandonment issues. 😢😢😢😢 2:57 2:57
😂😂😂 WOW!! SHE WAS SURPRISED SHE HAD TO DO A DOUBLE TAKE.AND REALIZED THAT WAS HER DAD❤❤❤
