To anybody who thinks that everybody arrested involved with Jan 6th are innocent and that it was merely a peaceful tourist visit, please answer this:
Why didn’t Trump issue every one of them a blanket pardon while he still had two weeks in power? Wouldn’t that be the rightful thing for the president to do? Peaceful protesters being arrested and imprisoned on trumped up charges (no pun intended) should be pardoned, shouldn’t they? The president has pardon power without question. All he has to do is do it.
Instead, he uses them as pawns for his reelection bid. “If I’m elected, I’ll strongly consider giving them a pardon.” That’s kind of like saying, “I’ll give them the pardon that I should’ve given them when I could’ve, but now their fate is in your hands. They’ll rot there unless you vote for me.” What a guy. Letting innocent peaceful tourists rot in jail unless he’s reelected.

These felons convicted of seditious conspiracy that insist they were just following orders. Even though they knew or should have known these orders and their acts were akin to treason and very illegal. There was a clear pattern over 4 years of Trump messaging to these groups that they will not face consequences for acting as his personal militia. This was a paramilitary attack on the United states of America (its government, it’s democratic process, its constitution without which America does not exist) orchestrated by the one who was supposed to protect it.

I had to look it up. They are being charged with being the leaders overthrowing the government. To overthrow it would mean to stop the old and bring in a new government. There are 1.8 million just in the Federal government. Almost a million federal police and military. Only a few thousand were at the protest and nobody had a weapon.
