@Hunter Sucato But that’s untrue. His dad worked for Disney, yeah you know, “that” Disney.
Dad floated him until he sold his first house, and it’s not “hating” to say that. Nobody’s taking away from what he built after selling that first home. But it’s misleading to make it sound like everybody else just quit while you hung in there. Hanging in there is easier when you’re not stressing about food, gas, and rent not being paid.
Bruh is a 3.6 mil house and so many people believe that is going to land on a newbie 19 yo boy xd… I swear, people are getting more easily baited these days lul
@icommentstuff Who had a 3.6 million dollar house snd is throwing it to a 19 year old kid as his first ever listing?
Buyers and especially their agents wont take him seriously. The owner was either stupid or Graham got some help through connections.
I mean he got a 100k commission on his first ever sold house? Lmao okay!
He’s not even successful in real estate in terms of closing rates. He’s even admitted on the iced coffee podcast how long his sales cycle typically is. He takes many times longer than the average real estate agent to close on a house.
He definitely does not scream self built success… But thats just my opinion.
Daddy gave him a chance. This dude didnt do abything on his own. I cant stand stories like this bc it further shows that the only way to make it is mommy and daddy
If you listen to his full story about how he got wealthy, he worked really hard, saved every dollar he could, and was able to take advantage of the 2008 real estate market because he didn’t waste any money. You can choose to believe that every rich person got rich off of daddy’s money, but most millionaires in the US are self made people who worked really hard to get where they are.
He didn’t have rich parents at all. He was doing an open house for a house that he didn’t own. Another agent had it on the market. And he did it as a way to meet buyers. He met a random rich dude who gave him a chance. Which is insanely rare.
I like Graham because he teaches good financial skills. He didn’t come from wealth, he did work hard but being a real estate agent in LA is obviously “luckier” than a real estate agent wheres there’s not houses worth millions of dollars so there’s some credit to luck and what not but not daddies money.
@JT Owensby III It’s not about smarts! It’s about experience, people that have bought million dollar homes are more likely to have been homeowners before.
@arcelivez some Agents are awful and unprofessional fact! Just make sure to vet your agent if you don’t like the agent there’s plenty more you can pick from.
100% they’re completely useless and will no longer exist in a few years. It’s one of those jobs that AI will take over very easily. It honestly already has in the form of real estate websites and apps.
He’s 100% right I got my licensee at 18 I lost motivation at I didn’t do as many open houses as Graham. I basically gave up at 19 and only sold my moms homes, I say those don’t count. 20 now going to start again soon.
@ThePeoplesChamp I think you’re right but I do remember he did have savings from his jobs in high school taking photos of fish not sure how far that got him before he needed some help. I think the biggest help you can give to someone starting a business is not just money but support for the idea but often that’s never the case. Most businesses ideas are way too fu*king crazy to get support like having a high schooler not continue higher education to get a somewhat “Guaranteed” job is already too ridiculous. Jimmy Mr.Beast always says something along the lines of you’re crazy and get no support until you make it then you’re a genius. Honest his business is one of the most insane he started off initially by virtually gambling away 100 percent of all the money he got from sponsors which was like 10,000 into each one of his videos for views. But look at him now, he’s worth more than a billion at the age of 23.
Okay. Do you know if you’re in a caveat emptor state or a full disclosure state? And based on that, you buy a home and the basement floods every time it rains. You have no recourse because you thought you knew it all and did it yourself. You saved the seller $$$ (who pays the real estate agents by the way, as a buyer you pay 0 usually), and now have to seal your basement for $20,000 on your own dime. And when you try to sue they laugh at you. Have fun.
It takes a lot of persuasion and lying too tho, it becomes significantly easier when the product is actually worth what it’s being sold for, as you will end up believing the person will actually be better off with what you’re selling them.
So when he was 19 he got to sell a super mega expensive house? This is supposed to be inspirational xd? He just got a crazy handout from someone, a friend or family, thats just called being born in a rich family bro.
@Marcel Slofstra yea and no this much more pertains to living in the U.S. I personally believe but I do believe anywhere anyone who is willing to just keep fighting will always be ready when opportunity comes
I’m in the pre licensing class now for my real estate license in NC. I’m tired of being a corporate slave I want to be my own boss and make good money so I can pour it into my investments and eventually live off my dividends
I’m sorry but I don’t need some middleman doing negotiations on my behalf when I can just pay a lawyer $500 to review the contract and do the negotiations myself
You need to be in a state financially where you can wait for upto a year if you have no income then this is possible. You need min 24-30k saved up min if you wanna try for 1yr just chasing this dream and then if you get paid 20-40k then it was worth it and then keep on selling houses.
Let’s all be real, Graham’s first house as a real estate agent was for 3.5M ONLY because of his family and Daddy’s connections. I just can’t stand delusional out of touch rich kids. Anyone with rich parents becomes successful it’s that simple.
@Omar Rodriguez I know. I grew up not rich, and I am going to be one of those rich parents because I worked my ass off to get to where I am. So is it going to be my kids’ fault that they will be born rich? I still have to teach them how to be successful.
@Bryan Ciacco If you make it and have money, are you going to not help your kids out?
yes. anyone over 18 can get a real estate sales persons licence.
if you want to use the MLS, you have to join the realtor union. which takes your money and funds political action committees to push the current woke agenda.
That’s what happened with insurance sales to me. No money in a month and a half, and a lot of money down the drain. Plus, I just didn’t like selling life insurance. If I ever do real estate or something along those lines in the future. Im definitely keeping my 9-5 job while I’m starting.
Most realtors make average American salaries at the end of the day.
I’ve done real estate and car sales. I get to write off more as a self employed realtor but I also have to pay more fees, bills and basic business expenses compared to car sales. Pick your poison it comes down to what you love the most and how driven you are to be successful no matter what career you choose.
first
no way bro sold a 3.6 mil house at 19, that’s his daddies money giving him that opportunity
brokie
@Hunter Sucato But that’s untrue. His dad worked for Disney, yeah you know, “that” Disney.

His parents rented, they weren’t rich. Chill man. Stop spreading lies.
This mindset is why you’re here talking down on him and he’s still a millionaire.
He didn’t have rich parents at all. He was doing an open house for a house that he didn’t own. Another agent had it on the market. And he did it as a way to meet buyers. He met a random rich dude who gave him a chance. Which is insanely rare.

For most people, real estate agents are 500% unnecessary. Just another salesman looking for a slice of your pie.
Ha
90+ percent of buyers use an agent still if I remember correctly… So most do use an agent
100% they’re completely useless and will no longer exist in a few years. It’s one of those jobs that AI will take over very easily. It honestly already has in the form of real estate websites and apps.
If youre not already covered for expenses then yeah, how do you get over that first sale?
He’s 100% right I got my licensee at 18 I lost motivation at I didn’t do as many open houses as Graham. I basically gave up at 19 and only sold my moms homes, I say those don’t count. 20 now going to start again soon.
@Free Audio Books 🥱 what is this, amateur hour? You gotta up your trolling, young fella
@Free Audio Books 🥱🥱🥱
How long dod it take u take finish the courses and ur license?
Why are you thinking to start now?
@ThePeoplesChamp I think you’re right but I do remember he did have savings from his jobs in high school taking photos of fish not sure how far that got him before he needed some help. Probably never saw a foreigner in his life
How is this even relevant
Is not relevant to the video at all
So pretty much he got lucky.
You still have a lot of growing to do.
It takes a lot of work to sell a home of that price
@J you must be fun at parties…
Anyone who’s ever been successfull, got lucky.
Luck provides the opportunity, but only knowledge will make you successful.
He got lucky by having a wealthy father who could float him for months until he sold his first house. It’s not wrong to point that out.
In chile you dont even need a real estate license
I wish everyone would stop tryinf to be real-estate gurus and stop driving up housing
Blackrock are a big contributing factor
@Paul Wisdom its everyone bro especially these real-estate gurus
Proof youll never get rich without rich people giving you money 😂😂 its all bullshit its all rigged
Most people quit just before that big break is about to happen
No, that’s what casinos want you to think. Don’t be a victim of the sunk-cost fallacy.
I tell my self that at the casino.
Nah, that’s not always the case
Is this guy Jared kushner
Real estate agents are literally useless nowadays. I can setup a viewing and tour my own potential house myself thanks.
Okay. Do you know if you’re in a caveat emptor state or a full disclosure state? And based on that, you buy a home and the basement floods every time it rains. You have no recourse because you thought you knew it all and did it yourself. 7.5m for the house, and all you are getting is 200k?
Someone is taking a piece of your pie sir. 😂
2.6% commission is pretty standard. Realtor commissions get split between both agents (seller and buyer)
Fun fact: graham has never smoked a cigarette
Why is that relevant?
The only thing I’m missing from videos like this is the secret to how you live four months without a paycheck.
you don’t, you do extra work on the side. I’m a new agent who currently works 50 hours a week as an agent then ubers for the rest
I was thinking about it right now for me the only possible way would be to limit bills and do side hustles like uber etc i see it possible.
Think he’s saying he only did real estate every Sunday?
Make coffee at home
If you only have open houses on Sundays… I think you could have regular job during the weel
Imagine the guy losing his hair from stress telling you this is a legit way to make money
Daamn. That was a good comeback
@Objectively I don’t watch him but nice try
@Chance Carlson “I don’t watching him” bro then why did you comment on a clip? 😂
*watch but yeah 👍
@Chance Carlson nah I actually watch him so I can make comments like these 😅
I work in sales and it’s really not for everyone tbh. Takes dedication
It takes a lot of persuasion and lying too tho, it becomes significantly easier when the product is actually worth what it’s being sold for, as you will end up believing the person will actually be better off with what you’re selling them.
@Tuskular Facts.
Hence why I’ve moved industries and companies and only sell what I believe in. Makes it easier and clients/customers can tell
Andrew Hills. 😃😃
The Tom Cruise of Real Estate and YTube.
So essentially Grahm got a handout to start his career on giving people financial advice on starting their career
It’s not a handout, he made a connection. There is a difference
Sure, it’s a gross oversimplification, but he did get a very rare opportunity no regular guy is gonna get.
Sure but where did u get that money in the first place? I’m not an expert so I can’t really comment but it seems rare
you can call it charisma
he wouldnt have gotten that chance if he didn’t spend months and months working hard waiting for it to arrive
But how did you get a multimillion dollar house as your first sale???
His family/daddy’s connections. Don’t let him fool you into buying into his bullshit.
So when he was 19 he got to sell a super mega expensive house? This is supposed to be inspirational xd? He just got a crazy handout from someone, a friend or family, thats just called being born in a rich family bro.
Moral of the story: Luck plays a significant role in peoples success story
” Chance favors the prepared mind”
Luck is created by your choices, especially by preparation and persistence. Those lacking in these call it luck.
You gotta show up to even get the chance to be lucky
@edheldudethat’s a rather shallow outlook, isn’t it? So starving kids in Afrika just didn’t prepare themselves enough to be ‘lucky’ I guess.
@Marcel Slofstra yea and no this much more pertains to living in the U.S. I personally believe but I do believe anywhere anyone who is willing to just keep fighting will always be ready when opportunity comes
Why are people buying this much money to list house’s ridiculous
Yeah most ppl quit cuz most relanstate agents are on their 30s and got a family to feed
This is why I work four jobs, and real estate is my weekend job.
You’re going to fail in real estate real estate is not a part-time or a weekend job if you want to be successful in it
Where is tge video
😂😂😂
I’m in the pre licensing class now for my real estate license in NC. I’m tired of being a corporate slave I want to be my own boss and make good money so I can pour it into my investments and eventually live off my dividends
Your circumstances don’t enslave you, they just show your slave mindset.
@edheldude okay buddy
I’m sorry but I don’t need some middleman doing negotiations on my behalf when I can just pay a lawyer $500 to review the contract and do the negotiations myself
Moral of this story
Luck is a massive part of your success along with resources being available to sustain you through long periods of practically having no income.
You need to be in a state financially where you can wait for upto a year if you have no income then this is possible. You need min 24-30k saved up min if you wanna try for 1yr just chasing this dream and then if you get paid 20-40k then it was worth it and then keep on selling houses.
Can you not work full time and host open houses during the weekend
Bro for so long ive thought this guy is huskerrs the twich streamer and i thought he left streaming and focused on investing
Sales is as much luck as it is skill/dedication
Let’s all be real, Graham’s first house as a real estate agent was for 3.5M ONLY because of his family and Daddy’s connections. I just can’t stand delusional out of touch rich kids. Anyone with rich parents becomes successful it’s that simple.
Lol it’s so funny when people get mad at other people for having money
@Omar Rodriguez I know. I grew up not rich, and I am going to be one of those rich parents because I worked my ass off to get to where I am. So is it going to be my kids’ fault that they will be born rich? I still have to teach them how to be successful.

yes. anyone over 18 can get a real estate sales persons licence.

He sold his parents house
Why is this song on this video?
That’s what happened with insurance sales to me. No money in a month and a half, and a lot of money down the drain. Plus, I just didn’t like selling life insurance. If I ever do real estate or something along those lines in the future. Im definitely keeping my 9-5 job while I’m starting.
Bro you should come to SA, standard commission is 10% up to 20% and if you sell a house worth $15 million that’s 10% for you
Most realtors make average American salaries at the end of the day.
I’ve done real estate and car sales. I get to write off more as a self employed realtor but I also have to pay more fees, bills and basic business expenses compared to car sales. Seeing young Graham Stephan is a trip! 🤯
