No, not everybody. One can be asked offline what is his opinion, and if it happens to be ‘wrong’ opinion then his opinion will never be aired, i.e. expressed. Also his use of ‘I think’ should not be used to downplay him. This is how people talk in academia. He says ‘I think and these are my arguments’. So other people can have a different opinion, but whatever opinions they have they should back them up with arguments. So somebody listening to both of them could make a choice who sounds more plausible.

What happened with Russia??? Ukraine had been attacking Kherson, time after time after time, since September. Every single time their attacks were defeated. In the process ukraine had more than 9,000 dead and 30,000 casualties. Russia left the place simply because it was causing them unnecessary logistics overhead, to transport across the river the artillery support ordnance needed. Small parenthesis: Russia is firing in Ukraine more than 60,000 shells *Daily*. The self-proclaimed “expert” in logistics, the US, fired Less than 60,000 during the entire first Gulf War. Apart from holding that city for PR reasons, there was no other strategic benefit. Instead, they withdrew 100% successfully and without not a single loss, all men and equipment, who are now making good progress in reaching the administrative limits of Donbas. Wars are won not by him who holds territory, but by him who has the least losses in manpower and equipment – Scott Ritter.
Russia has pulled back 3 times to more defensive positions not driven back. Their loses are minimal and they outgun Ukraine and NATO many times over. They have mobilized hundreds or thousands of troops in new Russian territories and simply waiting for the ground to freeze solid. Economically this has been fantastic for them as The Ruble is the best performing currency this year. The USA doesn’t care about losing – Vietnam, Syria and Afghanistan as casing points – this is all about collapsing the EU and moving manufacturing to the USA. Dr. Kuperperson writes a paper on 25 March 2022 entitled “Why military aid to Ukraine is backfiring: There is a better way to counter Putin and protect Ukrainian civilians.” In this article he cites the examples of Athens and Melos as historical reasons for essentially abandoning Ukraine to its fate. Russia is Athens in his model. The good Dr. is lost in books and adrift on the tides of his own intellectual cowardice.
He has published nothing of note since that article. If Russia loses the war and fails to neutralize Ukraine and thereby obtain a situation where America cannot install nuclear-capable missile launchers in Eastern Ukraine then the next line of defense for Russia is only nuclear.
