The narrow margin of the election result is not an indicator of a divided country as you said it but the real sign of the working of a democratic system. In the so called election under dictatorial state it is common for the result to be 99.9 percent for the ruling party and 0.1 percent for the contending party. So Turkey must be taken as a country exercising the democratic principles.

But just remember that it was the Ataturk reforms back in the 1920’s and ’30’s which transformed Turkey from a poor, dirty and backwards country into the modern first world country it is today!
The imposition of a particular religion in the government or laws of a country represents a danger to a free state. Because even though the majority of Turkish citizens are of the Muslim faith, there ARE different sects of it. Much the same as there are different denominations of Christianity here in the United States. So to impose one of them upon all the people over another is simply wrong when it comes to basic human rights.
As for Mr. Trump, I am supporting him next year in the primary and will in the general election if he ends up being the republican candidate. DeSantis is a right wing extremist who, quite frankly, is nuts. Biden is an ultra liberal old man with dementia who gives preferential treatment to one race of citizens over all the others here in the States. In addition, he gives our tax money to illegal immigrants to support them whilst he lets homeless veterans, some of whom fought in wars, stave in the streets. Donald Trump is a moderate who treats all citizens equally. And he is against illegal immigration. He is a constitutionalist who believes in America for Americans!
